Posted September 8, 201411 yr Sunday Chart Predictions Predicting the 14/09 to 20/09 chart http://i61.tinypic.com/20tf1iq.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/91fmft.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/vq4gzp.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/2j17tyg.jpg http://i58.tinypic.com/15f3zg9.jpg Don't blame it on John Newman, blame it on George Ezra Proving that an On Air/On Sale release strategy can pay off, Calvin Harris' latest single that features vocals from John Newman, 'Blame', seems to be heading to #1 - which would make it his 11th number one when including all solo, featured and produced work, along with his remix of Florence + the Machine's 'Spectrum' which was used as the single version. However last week's number one 'Prayer in C' by Robin Schulz & LILLYWOOD (note how the names have switched which makes it the 86th artist credit change for it) is hot on its tail, especially as it has been storming on streams. Contenders for Top 10 placings also included the instrumental track 'Walking With Elephants' by Ten Walls and Chris Brown's latest single 'New Flame' which features Usher and Rick Ross. After just missing out on a Top 40 re-entry last week after being covered on X Factor, A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera's 'Say Something' now has another chance of re-entering as it was again performed by a contestant on X Factor. 5 Seconds of Summer's 'Amnesia' and George Ezra's 'Blame It On Me' should both have big climbs this week. In the albums, frontman of rock band Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant is looking to be the favourite to reach #1 out of the new entries as he releases his tenth studio album Lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar. Last week's Top 3 of Sam Smith, Royal Blood and Ed Sheeran could also be likely contenders for the #1 spot too. Hoping for a place in the Top 10 are albums by Interpol, Ryan Adams, Deacon Blue and Banks, with Jhené Aiko, The Kooks, Death from Above 1979 and Phillip Phillips also aiming to chart. ======================================================= Please note new changes to the Sunday Chart Predictions thread topic: Tuesday/Thursday - There will be no mids from MW for Tuesday and Thursday, however they may come from other sources - this is not always guaranteed. September 8, 201411 yr I think it could be close between Lilly and Calvin for number one on the singles. Either way I will be happy with this weeks number one! Hopefully Ten Walls can go top 5 but I'm hoping that streaming wont mean it doesn't chart as high as it should!
September 9, 201411 yr Grant Richard5 @djgrantrichards 2m Seen the midweeks & @calvinharris is edging @tenwallsmusic to No1. Wouldn't it be quality having ???????? at No1 though? Calvin already has loads https://twitter.com/djgrantrichards Ten Walls I'm assuming is #2
September 9, 201411 yr The Kooks for top 3 minimum in the albums. Robert Plant will likely take the top spot, that said, i had myself convinced The Script were releasing this week, ideally, they will take number 1 next week. I am interested to see how the new Deacon Blue album debuts. Calvin Harris would be my preferred choice for number 1 single and while it deserves to be a minimum top 10 hit i now have just have small hopes of Amelia Lily achieving another top 75 hit. Edited September 9, 201411 yr by pippa
September 9, 201411 yr Along with those albums predicted to chart, I'd add Smokey Robinson and possibly Sharon Corr to that list
September 9, 201411 yr Hoping Banks can make some sort of impact on the album chart but not sure about the extent of her presence as of yet. Jhené too but she really won't be making a dent at all unfortunately.
September 9, 201411 yr https://twitter.com/djgrantrichards Ten Walls I'm assuming is #2 C'mon CALVIN!!!!!!!
September 9, 201411 yr I want to Ten Walls to be #1. It would be an amazing #1 for sure. But I think it'll go down as a classic, regardless of what's #1 this week.
September 9, 201411 yr That seems ridiculously high for 5SOS seeing as it's not even top 20 on iTunes, was it out on CD this week? A Great Big World top 10 too :o I've clearly not paid enough attention this week.
September 9, 201411 yr wtf at 5 Seconds of Summer, how  It's the song's release week isn't it? It's got an EP and physicals I think. The mid-weeks do look a bit strange though. A Great Big World and Mr. Probz are higher than I'd expect. Edited September 9, 201411 yr by Eric_Blob
September 9, 201411 yr wtf at 5 Seconds of Summer, how  they performed on Strictly Sunday night
September 9, 201411 yr lol 5SOS?! The boy bands slay at bringing in multiple - buys. Edited September 9, 201411 yr by Joe.
September 9, 201411 yr What is going on with A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera? Calvin Harris is very much on course for another number 1 hit with the sales margins and i would believe streaming would be in his favour. 5 Seconds of Summer are guaranteed a top 10 hit now, that is looking at it from a conservative point of view where the sales will fall away for them, amnesia must surely have over 30,000 sales built up prior to this week????that will help them achieve overall decent sales for the single. Wonderful that Train are top 40 but i am not fooled into believing they will stay there  Like Train, its a lovely start in the album chart for Deacon Blue, i will think in a positive manner that they can achieve a top 20 album. The Kooks, what has gone wrong here??? unlike many other bands of their era they have recently managed 2 top 40 hits which is good considering how bands fail to chart so i fully expected a much higher debut, it is a near certainty that they will miss the top 10 now  Sam Smith could potentially block Robert Plant from number 1.
