My friend and I were discussing how iconic some of the opening lines are on Britney albums. My obvious choice for best was the iconic "It's Britney, Bitch" from 'Blackout' . But he argued that, while that was iconic, that the 'Oops' album held her BEST, "I think I did it again...". Simply because it was the answer to all the nay-sayers that thought she would fade into obscurity after her debut album. (Obviously a stan, too).

 

So which is YOUR favorite? Along with GH:MP because that opening line she wrote in is :wub:

I went for Blackout (although my favourite intro from all her songs is 'Break The Ice' - that should have been the ultimate opening for the album, but IBB is probs the most iconic). I also love 'Oops...' & 'GH: MP' openings for the reasons you stated, but I also like the opening to 'Alien' and I think that serves brilliantly as an opening sentence!

I never knew she was singing 'this kitten' in 'Till the World Ends'! I'd always thought it was 'this kicked in, got your tongue..' but I guess that doesn't even really make sense, haha.

Some of them are a bit weak, imo. The Circus one especially... I'd have followed Blackout with something along the lines of "It's Britney, $l*t" or "It's Britney, c**t".

So many of them are great, but the My Prerogative one gets my vote, even if it's not an original or one of her best, but still great opening line

Or even "French fingertips, red lips, bitch is dangerous...". Lace and Leather would have been a great opener, leading into circus!

I agree... actually, if Hold It Against Me was track 1, the opening line would've been amazing: "Hey, over there! Please forgive me if I'm coming on too strong".

I also didn't realise the lyric in TTWE was "kitten"!
