The core four-piece of the group were known as the Chatto Quartet, a classically trained string quartet that performed J.S. Bach and cited Jacqueline du Pré as an influence, but their post-show, wind-down music often consisted of garage, two-step, Craig David, and Arcade Fire tracks. The quartet members were aware of both producer Jon Wandeck and MC Ssegamic through the duo's work in photography, and when Wandeck suggested they play on one of his house music cuts, Clean Bandit were born. With MC Ssegamic on the mike, they released the classical-meets-house-meets-hip-hop-meets-heartbreak song "Telephone Banking" in the summer of 2011. Their Dance Armstrong mixtape followed in 2012, while 2013 saw the release of their Mozart's House EP. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Clean Bandit 2013 17 Mozart's House -1- 2013 43 Dust Clears -2- 2014 01 Rather Be (Clean Bandit Feat. October 5, 201412 yr Jameela's sarcasm is on point today. Still bizarrely loving 'Rather Be' though, and the new one with Jess Glynne is impressive as well!

October 5, 201412 yr Who is still buying this? I mean, it's a brilliant track, but I never really saw the long-term appeal coming!

Amnesia (Live At Wembley) Biography Australian rock band 5 Seconds to Summer make ebullient, high-energy music that straddles the line between '90s punk-pop and 1000s boy-band pop. Formed in 2011, the band features fellow Norwest Christian College grads Luke Hemmings (lead vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar/vocals), Calum Hood (bass/vocals), and Ashton Irwin (drums/vocals). The band uploaded several videos to Youtube and quickly caught the attention of Sony, who signed the band to a publishing deal. In 2012, 5 Seconds to Summer released two EPs including Unplugged and Somewhere New. The following year, the band received a further boost after they were asked to open for Britain's One Direction on tour. That same year they signed a record deal with Capitol, and in 2014, 5 Seconds to Summer released their third EP, She Looks So Perfect. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2014 01 She Looks So Perfect -1- 2014 19 Good Girls -IG1- 2014 02 Don't Stop -2- 2014 07 Amnesia -IG2/3- Album Discussion Here
