Posted October 6, 201410 yr I'm hoping the radios start spinning this again from November. Pretty much every radio station got involved in the end, which meant the song peaked at number 1 on rolling airplay. So hopefully it's not forgotten, and becomes the first Christmas song in ages, to become a classic. I think top 20 will be a bit of a stretch but I'm hoping it'll go top 40. I went for 31 - 40. - Also, when do you think it'll appear in the top 1,500? Edited October 6, 201410 yr by Joe.
October 6, 201410 yr I think 21-30, there's an outside chance of top 20 depending on how big streaming will be. Last year Mariah was #1 on the streaming chart, which would've given her a top 10/5 peak, so if Leona goes top 10 on streaming and *only* top 40 on sales, that should give her a ~top20 peak in the official chart hopefully. Sorry that's a bit of a ramble.
October 6, 201410 yr "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is the only Christmas song in the top 1500 at the moment around around ~#1100. Leona is #2 (behind Mariah) on the Holiday Songs Chart, so I think she could possibly enter the top 1500 in the next few days.
October 6, 201410 yr I do think this is being overestimated, I could maybe see it returning somewhere in the top 75 but can't imagine a top 40 re-entry for it.
October 6, 201410 yr Author I think it depends on a few things. If the radios aren't really giving it any/many spins. Also, if it is featured in an iTunes 59p batch, I can see it soaring up. And if she hasn't got music to promote she might perform this around Christmas, instead.
October 6, 201410 yr I think it could make the top 10 again if things go right. Especially during the quiet, low sales weeks on the singles chart in the run up to Christmas. Hopefully it'll be featured on lots of Christmas compilation albums this year, perhaps get reduced to 59p and have Leona promote it a little more (It doesn't look like she's going to be releasing new music this year). Maybe it could be used on a Christmas advert too! Not to mention with streaming added in the chart, I think that should help it more than hurt it. I think it's promising that it's #2 on the iTunes holiday chart though, ahead of everyone but Mariah - albeit on low sales. She should re-enter the top 1500 in the next week given Mariah is around #1100 at the moment and rising. I think radio/TV will pick it back up again this year. From what I remember it went to #1 on the TV chart and airplay (airplay might of been on the rolling chart and not official chart). Really excited to see how it does this Christmas though! October 6, 201410 yr it could definitely return to the top 40 if it gets airplay. Or top 75 if the only promo it gets is being featured on xmas compilations/adverts
October 7, 201410 yr Depends on a lot, if it has at least one major performance, top 15. It should do well on streaming, and if she gets capital on her side >>>. I can see it going top 40 because i doubt anything will be promoted due to label confusions.
October 12, 201410 yr I am hoping for top 30, top 20 would obviously be brilliant but it's just so hard to tell as it depends on radio & tv support. IF she gets radio and TV back on board this year I could see it going top 20, streaming will definitely work in her favor as it's guaranteed to be on christmas playlists from last year.
October 12, 201410 yr Top 75 I can see for her atm. Not convinced this will re-enter the top 40 this year but you never know really.
November 3, 201410 yr Top 15 I predict as all the music channels will be playing it so will radio etc it's the best recent christmas song in a while defo in my top 10 christmas songs :yahoo:
November 5, 201410 yr I really don't know, but I don't think Top 20 is out of the question. I just really hope radio take to it again this year.
December 1, 201410 yr Author Looks like the 3 that voted that it wouldn't chart top 200 were wrong, as 'One More Sleep' should certainly chart top 200 at very least on Sunday. HOPEFULLY top 100 though. It may have charted top 200 this week, but it's a long shot, it's probably around #250. Edited December 1, 201410 yr by MistleJoe.
December 3, 201410 yr It didn't chart on Sunday, but it was midweek #140 yesterday! :D 84% sales and 16% streaming.
