Sam officially announced via Facebook that "Like I Can" will be the 4th single from his hugely successful debut album, "In The Lonely Hour". The date is yet to be confirmed for the moment but I can see a X Factor performance nearer or on the X Factor Final.

 

Sounds pretty decent tbh, about time he broke up the ballads with a slightly uptempo track!

YAY! One of the album highlights and I was hoping it would get a push for a change of pace so couldn't be happier with this choice. :D

Great choice. Isn't this the one that's co-written with Zane Lowe or that a different one? With the right promo I actually wouldn't be surprised if this ends up going Top 10, he's on fire at the moment.

The guitar reminds me of 'Rolling In The Deep'.

That this will remind people of "Rolling in the Deep" should bode well for it. Hoping for a fourth consecutive T10 from the album anyway. I'm excited to hear which guest they get to appear on the track remix, assuming they'll do one - Mary J. Blige and A$AP Rocky's features were on fire.

A remix I've been loving the Armand Van Helden remix of I'm Not the Only One (the A$AP Rocky remix and originals are great too imo).

So much better than I'm Not The Only One! In fact it's great to hear him release another uptempo track after two ballads.

I'm exactly the same! I can barely listen to his first two solo singles anyway, so overplayed and screechy.

This is my favourite Sam Smith song now! :wub: Good to see it holding up well, and its airplay probably will keep increasing into the New Year. Especially with the video still to be released.

Really loving this! Definitely my favourite single of his, but I'm very much in the same situation as Theo, he's improving with every release, but that's not saying much when the first two singles are just dreadful. 'I'm Not The Only One' pulls off the big ballad single so much better than 'Stay With Me'! Pretty much how 'My Kind Of Love' does the same thing for Emeli!
