'Gold Skies' is actually surprisingly decent, I was expecting it to be horribly generic. Gwon DVBBS getting that second 'hit'. Surprising it's taken Sander Van Doorn this long to get a 'hit' as well! Would like to see it in the top 40 but I think it'll just miss out much like 'Flashlight' (which similarly only started climbing a lot in the latter half of the week).

nice climb for Get Up

So it's gone from looking like only 2 new entries this week to five! Should be a lot more interesting now...
OMG, hearing Tinchy/Chuckle Brothers on the chart show would be so amaze  Streaming (for understandable reasons) probably wouldn't help it though.

Because it's not remotely listenable in any way, shape or form?

Parra For Cuva/Anna Naklab, OneRepublic, Calvin/Big Sean, Sander/Martin/DVBBS/Aleesia and Tinchy/The Chuckle Bros I assume? I think we'll probably still end up with only the first three of those in the top 40 but I guess the other two are possible ('Gold Skies' moreso than 'To Me, To You (Bruv)'). I really hope Tinchy can go top 40 next week if not this week, though the Live Lounge effect will probably start to run out before even this week is over so I don't hold much hope of that.

How can you not like The Chuckle Brothers though? (Serious question)

Oh, I do actually like the Chuckle Brothers. Them and the "to me, to you" thing was actually a big part of my childhood.

I suppose it's because pretty much anything involving Tinchy Stryder is an abomination...

The 1975 'Medicine' #30 and rising. Either a buzz track or a non-album single, very nice though.

EDIT: It's from Zane Lowe's rescoring of the 'Drive' soundtrack. So a pretty low profile release and yet they're still comfortably top 40, I reckon second album will be big next year.

I am devastated the awesome Halloween by Aqua is not being downloaded more. Wish they did a video for it back in the day.

1 Foo Fighters - Congregation

With a 50% lead over Ed... their first week will be MASSIVE. 150K for me.

Woah. I wasn't following where their other two got to, I'm guessing not this high though.

1094. The Pogues- Fairytale of New York

Leona has dropped out.

Foo Fighters #1  never saw that coming :o and that lead :o
To Me, To You (Bruv) could actually make the official sales top 40 at this rate. There really aren't enough *.*s

'Something From Nothing' only got to ~#5 IIRC and 'The Feast And The Famine' didn't even get that high - quite mystifying why 'The Congregation' is doing SO much better as the album hasn't really shifted that many extra pre-orders since the last release. That said it is now top 20 which is a fair bit higher than I thought. Should definitely have pretty big sales. (Calvin's album is also top 20 on pre-orders now so a third #1 album for him still looks likely).

Interesting that The 1975's Drive song is outperforming Bastille's as well, would have thought it'd be the other way round!

Yay! Foo Fighters at Number 1 :cheer: I would think it would start dropping by tea time though :(

Haloween top 200 update:

34. Thriller - Michael Jackson

42. Ghostbusters (From "Ghostbusters") - Ray Parker, Jr.

68. Monster Mash (Rerecording) - Bobby "Boris" Pickett

80. Time Warp - Little Nell, Patricia Quinn & Richard O'Brien

92. This Is Halloween - The Citizens of Halloween

148. Monster Mash - Halloween Party Album Singers

181. Thriller (Single Version) - Michael Jackson

185. Thriller (2003 Edit) - Michael Jackson

194. Ghostbusters - Halloween Party Players

196. Highway to Hell - AC/DC

Streaming will probably limit the impact of the Halloween effect this year but 'Thriller' should hopefully still manage another top 100 re-entry and 'Ghostbusters'/'Monster Mash' could still make the sales top 100.
