I adore Cheryl and I Don't Care but seeing her have more #1s than Girls Aloud had will be weird :( They should have had 23 #1s x

 

All a number one means is that a song sold more than any other in a given week - what's more impressive is overall sales totals and the song's lasting 'IMPAKT!!

 

For example Thriller FALOPPED at like no.11 or something and yet is played EEEVERY Halloween at nearly every party around the world!

How did the Halloween songs fare this year, did they breach the top 100 or was it more a case of people using Spotify and playlists and youtube like at my party on Fri?

Actually Thriller went to #10 and did very well considering it was a post-album single from a massive selling #1 album.

Just because it's front-loaded it doesn't mean it can't be number 1. Crazy Stupid Love was hugely front loaded and fell from itunes #1 mid week, but still went to number 1 with a great lead.

Well she is at number 1 and about 14 as well, so the challenge is very much there.

Tbf if I'd known aboot this pie bet I would've made it with one of the Ol' Boyz of the site that she wouldn't get there.

The problem is Cheryl's new entry is the best by miles (and is a great song). Mary's song is also pretty good
