I seem to recall Gabrielle did very similar to this before peaking in the teens (until the advert eventually caused her to climb to #1), so it'll be interesting if Tom can make it to the top 10 before the advert starts airing! Of course Tom has a bigger fanbase now than Gabrielle did at the time, but it'll be interesting to compare!

Why do The Script always just manage one big hit per album.?,then the other singles either peak in the late teens or early twenties or flop altogether..their first singles are always huge hits?

Apparently its during Googlebox on ch 4 this friday evening. It usually gets its biggest boosts each week during XF on sat & sunday evenings!

Good choice for the John Lewis advert. Do the sales for this tend to increase week on week?

It doesn't have its TV premiere until tomorrow during 'Gogglebox', I assume the people you are referring to have just watched it online (where it premiered this morning).

Incredible to see Tom so high, criminal that Another Love wasn't bigger than it was and that nothing else from Long Way Down ever troubled the top 40.

Really really lovely advert. Not too keen on the song...but maybe it'll grow on me.

I heard on an advert last night during the soaps (I think it was corrie?) but I wasn't 100% paying attention so I couldn't tell you what the advert was for!

Why do The Script always just manage one big hit per album.?,then the other singles either peak in the late teens or early twenties or flop altogether..their first singles are always huge hits?

I believe The Script are more of an album selling band than singles (similar to Coldplay), where singles will do well before an album release but by the time the second single is out the core fan base has it on the album. Issues getting radio and TV (probably more of an issue with TV) also do contribute. Don't know how much support stations like Capital give them.
