December 23, 201410 yr 'You & I' is beautiful  I fell in love with it on first listen and it remains a firm favourite of mine from them. Yay for 'High' too! I agree it has that insane MUST PLAY AGAIN factor. Really should blow up next year but i'm not holding my breath :(
December 23, 201410 yr Can't remember to forget you is a great collaboration and my head is a jungle is one of the best dance songs this year  But Alt J and Summer, two of the worst songs this year :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:
December 23, 201410 yr I lost track of this a bit! Don't worry, currently in progress of reading the thread over. Alt-J's track is incredibly sublime and subdued and amazing and 'High' is, to half-quote your EOY BJSC countdown, one of the discoveries of the year. Amazing countdown
December 24, 201410 yr Author Noah: Glad you remembered about Sweater Weather, one of my favourite alt tracks this year. Happy to see you enjoying the countdown too. Tim: Really should've been at least a top 10 hit, I don't understand how it wasn't. Sad Rihanna's record will be over too :( Joe: Yes Joe! Really the best thing they've ever done I think, just stunning throughout. Haus: Definitely their best for me now, really lovely ballad. The video increased my love for it too. High just needs Radio 1 support and I'm certain it'll be a top 10 hit, come on please! Ultraviolence: EOF one of the worst songs this year? No! Summer is such a tune too even if it is very formulaic. Liam: I'm sure it can be if it gets some sort of support, ideally Radio 1. Could be top 10 surely. Math: Haha, you have a good memory then :P Definitely my favourite BJSC track of the year, the drop is just so beautiful  EOF is magical too  Thanks guys~!
December 24, 201410 yr add me to the list of people not getting 'Ugly Heart' at first, I first heard it with the video which was always amazing may I add but the song was hard to adjust myself to. Thankfully in the next few weeks the more listens I gave of it, it improved on my earbuds and now I love it. Edited December 24, 201410 yr by HONKBONKXMAS
December 24, 201410 yr Author Slowing things down now because this is where the songs really deserve their moment to shine! http://i.imgur.com/OZzgk1o.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/JDc5JZu.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/hOiMtqT.png 33. I Wanna Feel - Secondcity (17-16-9-14-17-18-9-6-2-6-14-30-39-45-48-x) 15 weeks 34. Cocoon - Catfish and the Bottlemen (35-6-9-19-15-20-19-25-33-48-x) 10 weeks 35. Fancy - Iggy Azalea (feat. Charli XCX) (20-33-21-5-7-6-9-4-17-32-32-35-x) 12 weeks I Wanna Feel: This is a dance track I absolutely loved back in the earlier part of the year, I don't hear it much around anymore so my love for it has kind of died down hence it being quite low despite a very good chart run for me. If this was a points chart it'd definitely be top 15. For me, this is My Love by Route 94 but more upbeat and a lot better and I've always loved the 'oo baby' part. It saddens me to see this not getting much love on this forum because it's one of my favourite #1s of the year for sure. Cocoon: Catfish and Co. are definitely one of my discoveries this year as illustrated in my top albums countdown and this is definitely their best single. It just has such a strong hook and all of the instruments are a pleasure on the ears. There's not really much to say on this one apart from I love it lots. Fancy: At first I thought this was a complete and utter mess and I really didn't get it, then I started to hear it more because it was just so weird and bad but then it properly hit me and I loved it loads. A fantastic hook with very good rapping to match, there is more from both of these artists to come so this isn't my favourite from either artist unlike a lot of people.
December 24, 201410 yr I Wanna Feel  far too underrated on Buzzjack, it'll be appearing VERY high in my chart :dancing: :music: :dancing: just wish it didn't have the 'non-#1 tag' on it :( should've done much better in the chart.
December 25, 201410 yr Merry Christmas Josh ^_^ Fancy is amazing! Yeah I agree I was like 'wut?' At first when listening to it but the video really helped me get into the song which I now absolutely adore
December 26, 201410 yr Author Dan: I know, it's such a shame to see lots of people dislike it :( Should've stayed in the charts much longer ! Very undeserving non-#1. Ultraviolence: Haha, another section that you absolutely love a track then, glad you're enjoying it! Neil: Merry christmas to you too, hope you had a lovely day! It seems to have been a grower on everyone then, such a mess at first  Thanks guys !
December 26, 201410 yr Author So here we arrive at the 11/10 tracks and it becomes incredibly difficult to order.. http://i.imgur.com/cupaTeO.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/lXjKxO6.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/J0wyMda.png 030. I'm Not The Only One - Sam Smith (35-8-3-10-34-33-44-43-xx[4]-45-x) 9 weeks 031. Crying For No Reason - Katy B (4-10-x) 2 weeks 032. Kisses For Breakfast - Melissa Steel (feat. Popcaan) (36-21-23-25-3-7-7-31-49-x) 9 weeks I'm Not The Only One: Well at the time of the release of this I despised Money On My Mind and wasn't keen on Stay With Me so this came as a pleasant surprise that he could produce a stunning ballad. The chorus to this is just beautiful and really striking and the video secured my admiration for the song because it was really moving and conveyed the message behind the song successfully. The lyrics are really touching and reach out to me despite being a 15 year old boy who's never been cheated on which really supports how strong this song is and can appeal to everyone really. Well, this song just continually grew on me and I ended up completely falling for it and him as an artist and ended up loving his album against all odds. My favourite part of this is 'and I know, and I know, and I know, and I know, I know I'm not the only one'. Crying For No Reason: I was very excited for sophomore here and boy did she deliver. 5AM was an incredible lead single and exactly where she shines but then she came out with this stunning ballad and I fell head over heels for it. I has this on repeat for ages back in the start of the year and it became her best ever single for me. The chorus is just so strong and the lyrics really beautiful and obviously she delivers on the vocal side because when doesn't she? I see this has a lot of other fans across the site and deservedly so. Another top 10 victim as well :( Kisses For Breakfast: I remember Joseph talking about this across the site and I was immediately intrigued because his description sounded excellent and this song really delivered. It's the perfect summer pop song with cheesy lyrics and a non-understandable rap to add to the song  But yeah, this just works as a guilty pleasure which I should not like but its just so upbeat and feel-good. She has a lovely voice too and everything she seems to be on at the moment is fantastic so here's to a new popstar hopefully!
December 26, 201410 yr 3 albums that featured in your top 10 have been featured in my top 10 of the year, nice to see FKA Twigs in your top 5 one of the best albums of the year after hearing 2 Weeks, I wasn't keen on her material at first, but the album just took me by surprise, and some really good tracks on there, apart from the final track on the album that didn't click with me at all.
December 26, 201410 yr Hi Josh! Hope you had a good Christmas! 'I'm Not the Only One' is probably in my top 3 from the album (order being: 1. Stay With Me, 2. I'm Not the Only One, 3. Like I Can), such a beautiful song and I live for Dianna Agron every time I watch the video. :kink: Loving the countdown! ^_^
December 26, 201410 yr Crying for no reason is beautiful and a good twist to traditional ballads! OnlyKaty B can add techno/electric music to a ballad and still make it sound emotional
December 27, 201410 yr Kisses For Breakfast is a really nice summery song, Crying For No Reason is beautiful and such a stunning ballad and I'm Not The Only One is by far Sam's best song. All 3 great songs. Amazing section Jsanta
December 27, 201410 yr Iggy and Sam http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/67d90ee8.gif (Only 35 tho, bye boycotting you)
December 27, 201410 yr Author http://i.imgur.com/BgghTOc.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/lcU7gRZ.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/x0vTS83.png 027. Two Weeks - FKA twigs (30-18-34-39-25-28-32-50-x) 8 weeks 028. Demons - Imagine Dragons (5-2-3-5-6-17-xx-36-45-x) 8 weeks 029. ***Flawless / Flawless (remix) - Beyoncé (feat. Nicki Minaj) (2-6-17-17-26-37-xx[10]-2-5-7-7-13-....) 11 weeks (so far) Two Weeks: On first listen of this I really had no idea what this was, it was something that I'd never heard anything like in my life and I wasn't really sure how to feel. After repeated listens I really fell in love and just realised the beauty of her fabulous falsetto and the crude lyrics really add to the song I think. Seems to be one of Buzzjack's favourites and deservedly so. Demons: I've always been a fan of Imagine Dragons and this single is definitely their best for me, just a fantastic indie-pop-rock song with a huge hook-y chorus. Glad this was quite big worldwide but sadly nothing like Radioactive which I feel is weaker. Flawless: This had always been my favourite album track from BEYONCÉ and I heard it was a single I was so excited and then I woke up one morning seeing that a remix with Nicki had dropped. Well I obviously immediately loved this collab one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite artist with another of my faves with a long rap verse on the end. As expected, Nicki absolutely DELIVERS with her rap and it is catchy as heck and well yeah just makes this song even better. I do miss the 'bow down bitches' part though..
