Band Aid 30 could be back on the rise with December starting, Take That could hold on, Taylor Swift could power ahead if she continues gaining, Olly Murs could take advantage of consistent sales and his high streaming compared to low/non-existent streaming of other contenders, Ed Sheeran could similarly take that advantage along with a sales boost from a cover on the X Factor, James Newton Howard could prove to be an outside contender...

And that's not even considering the new releases which could potentially get there, Blonde have been top 100 on pre-orders for a little bit, Union J have an X Factor performance and big Heart airplay as well as their usual first week stans and Ella Henderson also has an XF performance which could do wonders for her if an airing on a soap was anything to go by.

So which of these many contenders do you think will go all the way? It's likely to be very close (and very low selling but eh) :o

I have a gut feeling Olly is going to do it (without being #1 on sales which I think will go to Taylor).
Band Aid for me. Into December so radio play will pick up. Tbf I can't really make a case for much of them but I can certainly make a case against all of them!
Think Ella Henderson could actually do it with her X Factor performance. If Hollyoaks had such a big effect, there's every chance the X Factor performance will propel it to new heights.
Wrapped Up should get a default week at #1 similarly to how Dance With Me Tonight went to #1

hard to tell honestly

I could see Ella's performance getting 'Yours' there, the public LOVE piano ballads like that. 'These Days' should hold up fairly well with TT's album release, and as previously mentioned 'Wrapped Up' could get a default #1

Union J should easily chart the highest of the new releases. would be pretty surprised if it doesn't at least chart in the top 5 all things considered

Its going to be so hard to forecast, I reckon Ella Henderson could have a chance at the #1. But than again TT could get a second week with cherry picking from the album.

They're #4 already, so they can't get much higher - plus it's the sort of song that'll lose out to those earning their position on *merit*...

Well obviously Madonna is gonna release Rebel Heart and i t willsail to #1 :smoke:
I think Take That. There's an outside chance for Ella to shoot up to #1 after her X Factor performance, but I think she might stall around #3.
I went for Olly on the poll, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Ella snatched it due to XF.

This will be my prediction too, the unknown quantity for me is Ella. 'Jealous' - a very similar style of song - did very well and you would think 'Yours' would get a bigger effect than that so could be a contender. It'll be between Olly and Ella for me (Taylor won't quite get a big enough iTunes lead), but I'll go for Olly.

The only that makes me think Ella could go to #1 is that after Hollyoaks (~2m viewers) it went to #15 on iTunes. X Factor has ~8m+ viewers, so in theory it should have a massive effect.

I'm going to go with Blonde feat. Melissa Steel :D

They'll reclaim the number one single when the physical version gets released

I'm going to go with Blonde feat. Melissa Steel :D

Would love this to happen, but sadly I think it will end up doing a 'Sunlight'. :(

I reckon Olly Murs or Ed Sheeran are most likely as I can see them being a bit more consistent than Take That, Taylor will need a really big lead to make up for no streaming, I don't think she'll do it but she may be number 1 on the sales only chart.

Band Aid could also get a small boost what with it being December so will have more airplay, though until the physical's out, I can't see it selling a whole lot more than this week.

Blonde FTW :cheer:

It's looks wide open at the moment, you could make a case for 4 or 5 tracks this week! :o

There's rumours rihanna is releasing new music this week too but ill believe it when I see it.
there's a rumour that Rihanna's releasing a new song every other week these days so I'd take it with a pinch of salt (would love it if it's true tho)
