December 21, 201410 yr Author I know you've all been intensely waiting (not really) but after hours of sorting and the fact I'm not sick anymore means this is starting TODAY. (please don't let this flop because I started it so late :kink:)
December 22, 201410 yr Author HERE WE GO, MY 200 FAVE SONGS OF THE YEAR (all of the tracks featuring here are 9/10 or better to me ~) First up: Bubbling Under #151-#200 (the style will change after) {note: play count is according to last.fm, does not include a small percentage of offline listening and hearing songs on the radio} #191-200 http://a1.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music4/v4/5d/1f/56/5d1f56ae-fa9d-8ae4-724e-172504571be4/cover100x100.jpeghttp://a1.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music3/v4/c4/96/dc/c496dca4-03a6-f957-9608-54faad82c385/cover100x100.jpeg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 17 | UK Peak: #6 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: #6 | Plays: 16 | UK Peak: #1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 22 | UK Peak: #5 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 14 | UK Peak: N/A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: #26 | Plays: 18 | UK Peak: #92 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://i.minus.com/jGz75P8efaLBu.jpghttp://a5.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music2/v4/d6/41/e4/d641e4e9-2d6d-f4b4-3321-4164d44045ca/cover100x100.jpeghttp://a5.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music5/v4/4b/f8/4d/4bf84db0-c88e-46e9-9bf4-b70a1b01ae54/cover100x100.jpeg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 22 | UK Peak: #43 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 20 | UK Peak: N/A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 21 | UK Peak: #30 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #199 ~ Alexa Goddard - Marilyn US Peak: N/A | Plays: 15 | UK Peak: N/A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 16 | UK Peak: N/A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- spotify playlist here ~ (commentaries are going to be short until the top 150 so I don't run out of adjectives) At #200 is Melanie Martinez's 'Carousel'. The infectious melody gets stuck in your head and her singing is as smooth and gorgeous as ever. Next up we have Alexa Goddard's 'Marilyn', a travesty of a DNQ out of Ultraviolenceland. The track is pure pop but it executes the genre near-perfectly. At #198 we have Kove and Melissa Steel with a massive banger (not really, but the also superb 174 Mix definitely fits that category) that should've done much better in the UK, as it had all the elements of becoming a hit. At #197 we have the fab TALA with Botanikka's BJSC entry 'Alchemy'. This song is perfect in its execution and those chants are SUPERB. And at #196 we have Lily Allen's 'Our Time' is not a run-of-the mill effort from Lily but it turned out to be very much of a grower. At #195 is Demi's "Really Don't Care". 'RDC' was a fun effort and really fun to sing along with in the car, which primarily boosts it into the Top 200 and it isn't really good enough to make this countdown on merit alone. Fox Stevenson takes the #194 spot with his candy-sweet, infectious jam 'Sweets'. The track is so quirky, but yet it all comes together to make an expertly crafted out-of-left-field track. Next up is Oliver Heldens's 'Koala (w/ or w/o K Stewart)'. The instrumental really hit me at first and proved itself to be a good succesor to 'Koala' but the vocal version really kicked it up a notch. #192 is Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud'. Considering you are probably sick to death of hearing about this song I'll just repeat what most of the fans of this track would think that it is a sweet ballad. #191 is Paloma's sweet whatever-the-heck-you-call-it track 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This'. It is a GREAT track (it even peaked at #6 on my chart (currently on hiatus)), ut it ended up so low due to the sheer quality of the tracks above it.
December 22, 201410 yr way we are is a great dance track, melissa has a lovely voice so im glad she's gifted it to a couple of dance tracks ! thinking out loud is lovely, still not tiring of it all. glad he's been so big this year, his album is phenomenal. olchlt is stunning too, really what she should be making. she has an amazing voice too, excited for the next era now

December 23, 201410 yr omg YAY YAY YAY at 'Way We Are' being included here! Melissa's Steel is on FIRE with her features, particularly that and 'I Loved You'!
December 23, 201410 yr Author #181-190 http://a1.mzstatic.com/eu/r30/Music4/v4/1e/27/ce/1e27cec1-f06a-2425-2a54-70ebf9b9a94a/cover100x100.jpeg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 19 | UK Peak: #71 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 20 | UK Peak: N/A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: #43 | Plays: 19 | UK Peak: #21 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 16 | UK Peak: N/A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 17 | UK Peak: #2 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://a5.mzstatic.com/eu/r30/Music1/v4/ca/5d/21/ca5d21dc-3f04-71cd-52ce-ef56a4f10934/cover100x100.jpeghttp://a5.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music1/v4/af/1f/3a/af1f3a6d-2b9a-9b1a-5858-811eabcf10b4/cover100x100.jpeg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: #9 | Plays: 22 | UK Peak: #8 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 17 | UK Peak: #15 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: #103 | Plays: 21 | UK Peak: #4 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: #16 | Plays: 19 | UK Peak: #7 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #190 ~ The Magician - Sunlight (feat. Years & Years) US Peak: N/A | Plays: 25 | UK Peak: #7 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- spotify playlist here ~ At #190 we have a fab dance track straight out of Trifoski (even though I almost sent it the contest before :arrr: )! The Magician pieced together and excellent house tune with Olly from Y&Y. Next up at #189 we have the 5SOS piano ballad 'Amnesia'. It sounded very good for the first month of release but now it is so incredibly bland I can't even hear it (I did like it back when the album came out though). At #188 we have the B-list Martin Garrix ripoff "Shot Me Down". David Guetta specializes in generic dance and while this is no different then the current electro house trend it's relatively addictive. #187 holds the quirky deep house JAM 'Bullit'. I can't wait for more offering like this from Watermat, the track is anything but run-of-the-mill and was a refreshing change of pace in the dance music scene. At #186 we have Ed Sheeran's 'Don't' which showed a different side to the singer and gave the listener an insight towards a more aggresive side of the singer. Clean Bandit takes the #185 spot with 'Real Love', their second collab with the amazeballs singer Jess Glynne. I was afraid that the collab would prove that they are a one trick pony but the track was refreshingly fun and breezy. At #184 we have Porter Robinson's immense BEAUTY of a track, "Sea Of Voices". Listening to this track is more of an experience then anything, with an incredible swirling atmosphere. #183 is Fifth Harmony's 'Bo$$', a female empowerment song that catches you like an earworm. I'll insure you that it'll take a few months to get the melody out of your head. At #182 is Martin Tungevaag's massive house track "Wicked Wonderland" with some unknown singer that I really have no idea of her name (sorry unknown singer). At #181 we have Eric Prydz's incredibly smooth house track "Liberate". The catchy but repetitive refrain strikes you instantly and the cheery atmosphere of the song lifts your mood right up.
