You can hear the full version here:

I really do love the new Sarah verse! Not sure on Kimberley's towards the end, I think what I love about the original is the way it flows along as a consistent level and this verse disrupts that. Hopefully both versions of the song are included in the reissuse.

This new version is wrong on so many levels! Like Liam said. the original flows so consistently and beautifully and this is all over the place.

The original captures that melancholic feeling of doing mundane things to pass the time waiting for somebody to come home, this replaces it with lyrics that don't even make sense. And Cheryl's bit is dire!

I suppose the one saving grace is that brilliant chorus remains intact.

This is bang on the money!

Personally I wouldn't say that this section from the original made all that much sense in context either:

Please means more
I'll see you knocking at the door
Got it right in my place
'Cause dreams means five
And I'll be rocking on the floor
Can't you see it in my face?

I think if this was the first version of the song we heard, we wouldn’t think anything about the differences. I don’t think this version is bad at all, I just think the original is pitch perfect.

If the original could squeeze Sarah’s verse in, that would be my ideal version. It’s fits the light carefree tone of the song and Sarah’s vocal compliments Nadine’s in the chorus so well.

Makes no sense at all, in context or not!

Seems like the pre-order could be live from tomorrow, and that we'll get Singapore (Definitive Version) alongside it - exciting!

Looks amazing, glad the original Singapore is on here too so will be available to stream to. Cool to see a few vault tracks and alternative versions, they must have loads of the latter lying about from where they swapped lyrics and vocalists on various songs.

I am of course very happy that we're getting a few unheard tracks, excited to hear those! It's also good that the gaps in their digital catalogue are going to be filled, particularly having Singapore and Money available.

In some respects the track list isn't giving as much as What Will the Neighbours Say? did though. That included 4 edited remixes, but this time they've not done that and have opted to just have the full length mixes we already have. WWTNS? also included the "performance/TV" versions of the singles from that era, and those do exist for Chemistry/TSOGA era singles, but they've not included them here.

What a Feeling?, a cover which we know exists, isn't included! There were hopes for an extended Intro - and unless that happens to be Naked in the Shower or You Go Too Fast, then that's not become a reality. Same goes for whether the Sunsilk advert jingle is a part of one of those songs or not.

Personally I'm not quite sure how I feel about the revisionism of including The Sound of Girls Aloud era stuff into the Chemistry era; I'm leaning towards not being overly keen on that - but it's happening, so I will have to accept the decision! cool2 My main disappointment about this, is that Something Kinda Ooooh and I Think We're Alone Now may not find their way onto a vinyl release... seeing as the Chemistry vinyl is just the original 13 tracks. This isn't a good indication that they'll eventually do a The Sound of Girls Aloud vinyl!

Agreed that there are a few notable omissions and I'm also not sure how to feel about 'Sound of...' content bleeding into this era, but I still applaud the overall effort and am so excited to have this in my vinyl collection! 'Money' feels apt right now as GA and Taylor are taking a lot of mine today 😅

p.s. the stickers look cute <3 nothing can top the 'Biology' McDonalds music player for Chemistry merch ofc but good work x edit: just seen that all the sticker bundles on their store are already sold out 😮

Nooo I hadn't made an order yet 😭 I hadn't seen until now that the stickers are exclusive to the first 250 vinyl orders. Now why would they do that?? 😔

I don't mind the Sound Of stuff being on here, if no separate release is being planned for that - I think these albums are being treated as batches of years and the Chemistry era seems to relate to 2005-6. Every other year between 2003 and 2008 they released a studio album apart from 2006 so I guess they felt that material had to go somewhere and it makes more sense here than the post-hits era Tangled Up, which felt like a clean slate for them in so many ways.

Maybe they will do a Ten vinyl release instead at some point as they seem to treat that as being the definitive hits collection despite the huge success of Sound Of.

These re-releases remind me of the fantastic Pet Shop Boys Further Listening projects, which again bundled together all the b-sides and rare tracks recorded not just for an album but the whole era in question, including one-off projects happening in the corresponding years covered. I've gone back to the WWTNS re-release a lot since it came out last year.

“Alongside 'Singapore', the album includes 'Naked In the Shower, a track that hints at the dancier direction the band were moving towards, 'You Go Too Fast (Demo)' originally written (although not included) for the 'Herbie: Fully Loaded' movie soundtrack and 'Watch Me Go (We're Disco)' an alternate version of the Chemistry album track featuring a new intro and an extra middle eight section.“

Not them being rejected twice for the Herbie: Fully Loaded movie omg- (Long Hot Summer being the other rejection!)
