I'm assuming it will still be released on a Sunday (the 22nd), for some reason a lot of release dates on iTunes are marked as a Friday even though they've been released on Sundays.

 

If not, it's not a very good sign of the record company not making a mess of the single campaign like they did last time!

Does that happen with future releases? I haven't seen so before; when it does for past releases it's because iTunes (generally) lists the date an item was first released in any country, but I don't believe that applies to pre-orders. Of course, they have 2 months to fix it!

If she does release on Friday then I'd be awfully suspicious because her rival Gaga also released on a Friday iirc :P

You may be right, I couldn't say whether it applies to pre-orders as I've only seen it with past releases. Definitely hope it isn't a dreaded Friday release!

it was always inevitable that this wouldn't spend very long in the chart, it'll keep falling from here plus the gift card effect will really push it down the chart. I'm just glad it did as well as it did for that one week
