Unbelievable! More than 4 months after release and it is returning to the top 10 (and without any extra promotion or gift card effect!)

Isn't it in an ad or something? (I remember someone saying this when I posted wondering why it was back in the top 10 a couple of weeks ago ~)

It's featured in the trailer for the new Night at the Museum film, so that'll be a contributing factor.

Another benefactor of the gift card effect it seems, jeez!

The gift card effect hasn't (properly) started yet... :P You'll know when it has because everything changes very quickly.

'Fairytale Of New York' doing so well right now, if only the dates had been slightly different it could have got top 10 this year (and of course it actually did on sales alone). As it is they might just about manage to hold onto the top 20 for another week if they're lucky.

However, I remember on previous Christmases we miss a lot of this since iTunes decides not to update for ages.

Exactly, I reckon anything receiving boosts is due to people buying for Christmas party playlists etc.

'Cool Kids' is absolutely bombing, already down to #72. Glad it's not likely to be a hit, really nothingy bargain basement Paramore song and seems to have a pretty bad message to it (I may be misinterpreting it but it seems to just be reinforcing the insecurities of 'uncool kids', plus there's something very off about those lyrics coming from a fairly successful band anyway )
They weren't so successful when the song first came out! :P
So pleased to see 'Let It Go' still slaying and up to #13! Really hope it gets a HUGE gift card boost and climbs into the Top 10 and charts there officially finally on Sunday.

Def woulda had a chance at the top 40 if Xmas day was in a Sunday IMO!

Thanks for such a comprehensive list of the Xmas tracks - they really do snow all on Christmas Eve - surprised ones like Greg Lake are so low in comparison to Bob Dylan Must be Santa(which I love by the way but didn't think it was so well known)!!

Well goodbye til next November!!

Taylor shaking off all competition yet again! :o
