Do you remember how i was with 'Break The Ice'? I will be the same with 'Breathe On Me' here  my favourite album track from her <3

At least this time it's justified!!!!!!!!

:P

(It is her biggest missed opportunity ever though. :( I wish the era had properly continued after 'Everytime' and that had been the rightful third single)

Aly are you saying BOM should have been released instead of Everytime?

The singles should have gone:

1.MATM (because it's flawless and it took advantage of the Madonna kiss buzz from the VMAS)

2.Toxic

3.Everytime

4.Breathe On Me

5.(I Got That) Boom Boom (face it, it would have smashed with the urban takeover in 2004)

I voted for Girls and Boys, as it doesn't quite ring a bell with me. But totally agree with those single choices TOXIC AIR, they would have been perfect. Apparently "I Got That Boom Boom" was planned to follow "MATM", but Britney pushed for "Toxic" and "Breathe On Me" was planned as the 4th UK single, but never happened coz Britney wanted to release the Greatest Hits album and take a break from music.

After 'Everytime'! In place of the half-assed attempt at going with 'Outrageous'.

I've decided and I'm gonna have to go for 'Early Mornin''. Just relistened and although it's obviously good, it just had no impact on me whilst relistening through the album :drama:

LOL, such a mess.

I voted for The Answer. I remember the whole hype surrounding it being a P. Diddy-penned/produced song and the complete non-event it turned out to be.

Ah, I gotcha. I concur.

I voted for Don't Hang Up. This is one of the VERY FEW times they put the best tracks on the main album.

'Brave New Girl'. Once that's gone it'll be so tricky to choose..

As iff '(I Got That) Boom Boom' has got so many votes already!

this is for all those southern boys about there

Fourth* :kink:

'Breathe On Me' really is SFG. So effortlessly sensual and sexy. Pretty sure it would have been a smash due to the controversy surrounding the song and how "sexy" it would have been for radio. Same goes for the glorious 'Touch Of My Hand'! Who knew a song about female masturbation would sound so classy and stunning?! They should not have gone for 'Outrageous' as a single at any point though. BOM or (IGT)BB would have done the job so much better and much more successfully/then that knee injury may never have happened

Riskney FTW!!!!

Reaaaally excited to see how this pans out. I'm guessing Toxic and Everytime will be the top 2 but I'm excited to see what else makes the top 5!

Voted for "Outrageous". Despite I like the Junkie XL remix, the original version is one of my least favourites from the album, along "Brave New Girl".

I don't know too much info to confirm this, but "Outrageous" was apparently a contractual single. I mean, it was intended to be the first single, but Britney wanted "Me Against the Music" instead. Her label wasn't into it and they accepted after the collaboration with Madonna happened.

Later, as Acid Burn mentioned, "(I Got That) Boom Boom" was planned to be released as the second single, as well as "Outrageous", but Britney pushed for "Toxic" instead. Finally, after "Everytime", "Outrageous" was chosen as one of the themes from Catwoman, so it was released as the fourth single.

"Breathe on Me" and "(I Got That) Boom Boom" were intended to be released after "Outrageous". There were rumours that it was going to be a double release like "Born to Make You Happy" and "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart", but they didn't happen because of Britney's knee injury.

I agree with Aly, 'Breathe On Me' not becoming a single was definitely a missed opportunity. Would have been a great release for Autumn 2004 if she had continued on with the 'In The Zone' era.

I suppose it at least has the status of being one of her best ever album tracks... if not the best. :o

Not whilst 'Shadow' exists (at least for me). It's just testament as to how much I adore her though, because I'd consider BOM to be one of her very best, but if I was to actually do my own countdown someday, it'd "only" finish top 25 or something  Which seems far too low for a song as stunning as that!
