Went to the auditions today. Some very talented people, hardly any bad acts!

Caroline and Rita

Went yesterday. I'm very game for Grimmy as a judge.

 

The two shows I attended, I adored Rita as a judge! There is a disconnect as a four. It's very Cheryl & Simon, Rita & Grimmy.

 

Oh and I think the winner was there last night as the acts were v. good.

Apparently the rumours of a live broadcast of judge's houses with Olly and Caroline in a central hub back home in the UK are true according to a few of today's papers. Wherever they do judge's houses will surely all need to be on the same time zone for that to happen though, which makes you wonder how they'll manage that?

Apart from showing off and also making the show slightly differ from Pop Idol, what exactly is the point of dragging everyone to a house the judges only live in for that week?

The performances for the judges will be pre-recorded it is just the reveal that is going to be live. TBF there are plenty of beautiful places in a similar time zones to the UK they can go. E.g Spain, Sweden, Iceland and I suppose they could use the East coast of the USA for it as well.

Who says they have to do it in the same timezone anyway?

Yeah, I mean, if it's drastically different, it'll be difficult for the contestants but there's plenty of places that are at least close in time zone that would stop it being ridiculous.

 

Why the timezone would kind of matter, I'd have thought, is because it's often done outside and it wouldn't really look very picture-esque, nor be easy to film, if it was dark outside.

For places like, say, New York or Las Vegas, where the whole city's practically illuminated at night, it would look a lot better on camera than it would in the daytime.

I'm kind of glad it's live though, for all the problems associated with it the big thing for me is we won't have spoilers of the final 12/16! I know you don't have to look at spoilers but I can never help myself, I end up seeing them and when they're a click away I just have a peek :drama: It'll be much more exciting to have the results as a surprise. The spoilers are never 100% accurate but usually you more or less know the top 12/16 from them, maybe with one or two unexpected finalists.

To be fair you can usually tell who 80-95% of the finalists are from who gets majorly highlighted in the auditions.

It's just asking for a hot mess.

It will probably be less interesting than before due to the wonders of editing.

Former Junior Eurovision star Cory Spedding is at the centre of an X Factor fix scandal, I've posted all about it over in the Eurovision forum. I hope Cory has success one day as she is so talented, it's such a shame she's been treated this way. :(

If it makes you feel better about it, I don't think many people care about an X Factor fix in 2015 so it shouldn't affect her.

Bootcamp is split in 2 bits. This week they are recording "normal'' bootcamp like it was before Six chair challenge and on the 1st and 2nd of September they are filming the Six chair challenge.
