I think it's just from its airplay on Radio 2, I believe it's still A-listed on there!

They did (as Ryan implied), next week will be its fourth week on the A List <3

Where did Katy Perry - Birthday peak on iTunes? I'll be annoyed if 'Sugar' does better when it's pretty much just an inferior version of the song. :(

The thing is Sugar's favour is that the video is so much better than Birthday's one. I can see a lot more people sharing and liking the Sugar video than they did Birthday which will help it get to a bigger audience. It doesn't have the disadvantage of seeming a bit underwhelming (as Animals didn't exactly do amazingly here) unlike Katy who followed up Dark Horse which was a huge hit with Birthday which is one of her weaker singles.

So it looks like Shawn Mendes has released Something Big? What a ridiculous move, it was set to be a hit I think if they carried on waiting as radio would probably have gotten on board :(

20. Shawn Mendes - Something Big

Looks like it had been a little higher earlier too so it's already freefalling. Oh dear.

Mmm bizarre decision. Is he on TV this weekend?

Not that I'm aware of, although his tour tickets went on sale earlier (and sold out within minutes apparently).

44. Indiana - Solo Dancing

This is actually doing much better than I thought it would considering it's actually already been released and peaked at #14, I honestly thought the re-release would do nothing for her

Most re-releases I've seen do something at least, even if they don't get a new peak.

Wow, Ellie is gonna be huge! :o Rightfully so, one of the songs of the year so far.

I think Fergie will either be a fleeting Top 10 hit or be a huge Top 5 one .... it is hard to predict really.

Yeah good point, what is up with GRL, Kelly and Charli?

I guess lack of exposure and support, teamed with a lack of interest

With Charli it's the price of the pre-order, with the other two it's that airplay hasn't kicked in yet, especially with G.R.L., it's nothing to worry about for any of them.

Heard the Ellie Goulding song for the first time yesterday... pretty much defines average.

Lost on me why its gonna do so well.

A song being 'average' is hardly a handicap for success - just look at Uptown Funk... :teresa:

Yeah I get that, it is nice enough but nothing special.

I think this going to be another one of those number ones like Price Tag, where it will be liked by a large audience but not many that will LOVE it. It is the sort of song you wouldn't mind hearing on the radio but wouldn't get excited over or see many requesting it.

If Ellie was released this Sunday it would sell 100k next week!
