January 25, 201511 yr Clara seems to be doing a fairly good job, just a shame that her first chart is quite a boring and stale one. Agreed. I could imagine it's pretty hard to hype up a chart and keep it interesting when the songs are all from last summer.

January 25, 201511 yr This is the worst song in their entire collective discography. Really, when something like 'It's My Party' exists?
January 25, 201511 yr This is the worst song in their entire collective discography. Worse than 'Who You Are'??? That's a LITTLE harsh.
January 25, 201511 yr Even the notion of this song growing on me was laughable, but it actually has, oops. :( So much fun to sing along to!
January 25, 201511 yr This is the worst song in their entire collective discography. Erm, no, I think that would be Anaconda.

For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2012 11 Latch (Disclosure Feat. January 25, 201511 yr It's My Party is decent enough. Not outstanding by any means but not intolerable. Who You Are is a touch unpleasant on the ears but at least it didn't hang around for months.
January 25, 201511 yr OCC twitter is good to follow around this time, we have sales for 7/11~ 105,000 too many.
January 25, 201511 yr Erm, no, I think that would be Anaconda. Great song. Every time I think this sedative may be slowly edging out I remember the Brits are next month... :(
January 25, 201511 yr I cannot think of one redeeming feature of 'It's My Party', complete screech and a weak chorus, ew. I did love her first era though! This is not much better though, definitely one of the worst number ones of last year.
