Does anyone actually like my odds tho.

don't know why I bother posting when I just get ABUSE and Rich's stealth elitism in response <_<

Apols, I didn't mean to offend! I just remember feeling deflated at Persephonia's continually dire odds for Little By Little last month :drama:

I don't actually think my song this month is a winning contender at all to be honest and have been surprised at the hype it gathered.

I was deflated at people actually voting for Ulf more than MYNGA #shade (in all seriousness though Ulf's success really surprised me, I was certain it was still going to underperform even with other people predicting bigger things for it. Kadebostany sounds more like a hit if anything).

No hard feelings :magic:

No hard feelings either, admittedly Truls was very much a case of me wrongly projecting my personal taste of that song onto the odds. In the first instance at least, I'm sure I boosted it right up in my final odds once the hype became too hot to ignore! (I could be wrong though, I haven't checked back)!

I was surprised Ulf managed to beat MYNGA too to be fair! I was expecting about 10th-12th for it iirc.

Adonia's current entry is giving me strong Ulf vibes so fingers crossed it can do similar things. So much better than the original of that song, which I never really got into.

I have decided I was a bit unduly harsh on PRoJ and Numayania. They still both sound like pretty much no-hopers but maybe 200 and 300/1 was taking it a bit too far. Also put Tinnmark and Usfland's odds up a bit. I am sticking to my guns with the rest for now but watch for some big shortenings when I decide to listen to hype a bit more in the final :kink:

Adonia is probably another one where my personal NOT-GETTING-NESS is getting in the way a bit, the comparison to Ulf Nilsson is quite apt. I could see it having the same appeal that did i.e. not to me at all but to enough others to do well. Sorry for the initial shit odds Math ~

you shouldn't have to apologise for odds that you thought were correct at the time you posted. at the end of the day they're your odds bré and it's an online song contest. obviously it's nice and polite to say sorry for perhaps underestimating someone but you shouldn't have to feel bad about it. :P

(i thought your odds were amazing) :kink:

I seem to remember somebody suggested something similar a long while ago, but wouldn't it be interesting for one contest to not have any odds and predictions posted publicly (maybe just sent to a host or a designated person privately) and let the contest play out with nobody having any indication of what each other think is going to happen! Then at the end that person could post the overall odds/predictions to see how right or wrong we all were.

It'd probably be too difficult to control but in theory it would be very interesting!

I don't think it'd really be possible to prevent people discussing what they think will do well unless you just banned posting in this forum at all

And I don't really feel bad about it Callum, just mildly annoyed that (nearly) all the people that responded to my odds are the same people who I gave relatively bad odds :heehee: These odds don't really mean anything ofc.

Yas at my odds generating like 2 full pages of posts though when will your faves

I thought MYNGA and Ulf were the best songs in the final, with Porcelain close behind, so it was never either/or from me, just who comes out on top (MYNGA)

this thread RUINS this competition

errr, just a bit of fun? No-one is forced to guess, read or pay any attention to the guesses?

I've never had good odds, and usually they are among the worst, and I usually don't qualify, so not that inaccurate, but I always enjoy flicking through them to confirm how badly I'm going to do.

Saves me having that false hope on results night

And Kylienips :(

I have listened to all the songs so you may actually get some potentially ill-judged but serious odds from me if I'm in the mood later, but right now the only odds-related thought going through my brain is 'Kluminican Republic must is definitely going to win'.

No line because it's so wide open this month, i don't think we'll see a massively high scoring winner even with so many participants.

I have listened to all the songs so you may actually get some potentially ill-judged but serious odds from me if I'm in the mood later, but right now the only odds-related thought going through my brain is 'Kluminican Republic must is definitely going to win'.

make it happen.

But honestly thanks for the support I've got so far! It's nice to not be a total failure sometimes

Ok even Rich has IDA high. All aboard the Federal Hype Train!!!

a candidate to win (I'm halfway through semi 2 and it's the standout on one listen). Singerpurear and Ashton to win. Well, one of 'em anyway

(Update: just got through semi 2 first listen and I've managed to eliminate 5 tracks from potential points. Oh dear, how long have I got to vote.....? Good semi, overload of great stuff, when I was hoping to be in a really really rubbish semi. Ah well, second listen....go now!)
