Are there any big releases in the next few weeks.?, I'd say Rihanna will climb to number 2 if not?

Sam Smith - "Lay Me Down" (22 Feb)

Madonna - "Living For Love" (25 Feb)

Years & Years - "King" (1 Mar)

Sam Smith would have very slim chance of getting #1 as it's a post-album single

Well to be honest I'm still waiting for the OCC to announce that Uptown Funk is a million-seller. Any day now...

It already is a million seller, it was about 500 copies away last Sunday so...

You do realise the BRITs Awards is on that week, anything could happen.

Sam Smith will probably be performing that track on the BRITs Award show on Weds 24 Feb transmitted on ITV, so I wouldn't be surprised if the track puts a spanner in the works.

He actually sold/streamed slightly more than Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars for the first time yesterday.

Biggest songs Tuesday 10 Feb 2015

01 Ellie Goulding "Love Me Like You Do"

02 Hozier "Take Me To Church"

03 Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars "Uptown Funk"

04 Rihanna/Kanye West/Paul McCartney "FourFiveSeconds"

05 DJ Fresh ft. Ella Eyre "Gravity"

I saw that.

Wed 25 you mean? And it could be possible for Sam to manage a post-album #1 single. If Ed Sheeran can manage it, Sam Smith can as more people own Ed's album than Sam's

It would take something completely out of the ordinary to get 'Lay Me Down' to #1. If he performs it at the Brits, Top 10 is likely though.
Thinking about it more, I just hope Ellie holds that week, I would prefer it than a Sam Smith track, will definitely get a top 5 out of it, as sales for the track would increase after Weds.
Didn't Lay Me Down get a boost on iTunes last year from just being mentioned at the BRITS? So it could surprise us, and it'll have the advantage of having a live version to boost sales, but I think it could go just top 20.
Unlike Someone Like You and Mirrors which both got boosted to #1 after the Brits, Lay Me Down has been available on an album for months. SLY + Mirrors were recently released album tracks and therefore hadn't already received as much exposure.
I think Lay Me Down will be top 5 but won't be big enough to go to number 1, I know Thinking Out Loud is an exception but Sam's album has gone 4x Platinum now.
Devastated for Kodaline - I like Sam Smith but why did he have to get a boost this week? On the plus side, the single hasn't dropped out, but I expect it to fall by Sunday. What a disappointing week. :(

Have Kodaline any promotion lined up, they will need it to be in with a chance of number 1. I am devastated they are not number 1 as i had convinced myself it was a certainty.

Thanks Martin as always! Poor DJ Fresh looking at #3 then. Shame he doesn't have a performance with Ella this weekend to save him. Also fully expecting Weeknd to make the top 10 now.

Do you by any chance have sales/streams for 6,7,8 by any chance?

Fifty Shades Of Grey album on sales of 21k

This will probably hog the top spot for ages like the Frozen OST did

Rita Ora coming for that #10 or #11 on Sunday, Ed Sheeran and Avicii are virtually getting there.
