Friday Update

Singles

3 Hozier

4 Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars

18 Bakermat *

39 Taylor Swift - Shake It Off

Wait WHAT? I know Hozier is high on streams but Funk is higher. I suppose his sales are higher? Or is there missing data?

Great seeing Chris and Charli keeping their Weds status :cheer:

Poor Bakermat though :nocheer: I bet he'll be lucky to get a top 20 place at this rate :drama:

Does anyone know what One Days first Tuesday position was?

And yes, SIO looks unlikely to stay in the top 45

Hozier's a fair bit ahead on iTunes and has been for a while. He's been inching closer all week, it's even been discussed in the thread :P

I'm quite liking that Ne-Yo track, too. Shame it's looking to peak at #11.

I'm still not over the fact that Elastic Heart never quite managed a top 10 peak. It should at least make 200k sales though.

Let's hope Charli & Rita's performance on Graham Norton tonight can secure their place in the top 10

We have top 5 sales with the update. Nos 2 to 4 in the singles chart looks very tight, Hozier could re-peak at #2 with Mark at #3 and DJ Fresh settling for #4 come Sunday.

50 Shades Of Grey on sales of 24.8k

There is only 1 Kylie album in the top 100 at #91 Kylie

Thanks Rush :) just wanted to compare them to see which was more successful at the first update :P
Looks like Kodaline's album will enter the chart #3, Ed Sheeran sold twice as much as Kodaline's yesterday of 1.3k. Kodaline's album is actually very good.

The Bakermat song sounds like a poor imitation of "Rather Be" so I'm actually quite pleased that it is set to flop quite badly.

Had Ellie not brought her single forward, Hozier would be climbing to #1 on his 24th week.

:(

Is he performing at the Brits? It's a long shot - but it might just work.

yep!!!

It overtook Shake It Off, which was #37 on Wednesday. That's how I deduced it. Still, I'm sad to see it go.

Gutted to see Bakermat that low, I'd really hoped this would at least match Vandaag in terms of peak position...

Shame that DJ Fresh is slipping too, I think even without Ellie rush releasing, Gravity was never likely to be a number one :(

Damn looks like DJ Fresh will be pushed down to #4 by Sunday! :(

Bakermat :snif: ~ shame 'Teach Me' is going to miss the top twenty.

On a more positive note, Avicii looks good for a 4th week in the top ten! :bounce:

All hail Ellie Goulding then.

That sucks for Gravity, being usurped by two awful tracks which have been everywhere seemingly forever. Glad Ayo is locked on for top ten though, need more of that genre in the charts tbh.

Also if Charli XCX's & Ne-Yo's averageness could both fall out of the top ten it will be a more positive ending come Sunday.
