I like to know how Hozier has got physicals, according to my mathematics, its purely on downloads and streams, no physicals are attached.

A German import being bought on Amazon probably, I doubt it even required 100 CD sales to make the top 10 of the physical chart!

Mmm I wonder. I asked OCC recently about whether German imports bought from Amazon count to the chart and they just said that they don't usually, unless the label requests them to be. So perhaps Hozier's import is eligible but its sales aren't combined with the UK digital release. So, the same as it always has been basically! How are you supposed to tell whether a CDS has been officially released in the UK these days though, since Amazon sells both UK and German releases and doesn't state whether it's an import or not? How did you work out that no physicals are included in the sale Martin?

First impressions are very favourable. It's a bit slow but it is possible that the chart geeks are out in force atm. We'll see whether its performance improves in the coming days.

Someone mentioned a chart run being split. I looked up Fairytale Of New York earlier and that is split too. The early chart runs are under The Pogues with later runs credited to The Pogues feat Kirsty MacColl.

The article in the link posted earlier invites people to comment and to point out any glitches. It may be that they would prefer to receive moment in batches rather than individually. I got an email from someone at the OCC last week promoting the new site. I will try responding to her (and the contact address given) and see what happens.

On the other hand, I'd expect to see duplicate entries of UK and German CD singles on there. Uptown Funk is on there twice but looks like a mistake, since both entries were #29 last week. Why isn't the German CD single of Thinking Out Loud on there as well as the UK 7"? Amusing to see Candle In The Wind 1997 there.

Great to see the physical chart 2007 onwards.

Some interesting Top 10s (although completely meaningless as sales will be only a few hundred at most)

August 2012 Blur "Under The Westway" Peak: #1

January 2013 Burial "Truant" Peak: #4

December 2013 David Bowie "Love Is Lost" Peak: #4

The Record Store Day charts are also very interesting (apart from Elyar Fox RUINING last year's one):

Someone can finally update this thread now - I'm thinking Bré.

Overall however, very impressed with this update!

Interesting, I will have to spend a fair bit of my free time looking at the new site in the next few weeks methinks. Found two errors so far, the duplication of Uptown Funk in the current Physical chart being one. And totally randomly I started looking at the Video charts, and a chart topping video from 1994 called 'Police Stop', some sort of real life Police docu series, has bizarrely been illustrated by the OCC with a picture of 'World Police: Team America' which wasn't even released until 2004ish.

In answer to this according to my source for example 87% on downloads and 13% on streams, conclusion where are the physicals, unless the physical sales are just a tiny fraction

Where in other instances take Mark Ronson for example 68% on downloads, 31% on streams, which tells me there is at least 1% on physicals.

Elyar Fox was a physical number 1 and then fell to 45 the next week  Although slightly better than Kylie's I Was Gonna Cancel which apparently fell right out of the top 100 next week!

I can't get over how much they're spoiling us with all this information, and no catch or anything. Not that I'm complaining at all.

was the Kylie one a limited release? that may explain it.

There are two versions of Thinking Out Loud in the previous weeks physical chart.

I can't imagine what tiny amounts you need to sell to go number one on physical these days :D

Siobhan Donaghy's So You Say charted at #26 on physicals :worthy:

I'm beyond satisfied with what I've looked at so far. I'd follow the charts of so many more countries if their websites had not only this amount of content, but the user-friendliness of it too. Is it too much to ask for this to become the standard for chart websites? Yeah, probably, oh well.

This is what Ive wanted for decades, so hooray! Worth wading through adverts to access...

Now all I want is an updated (at regular intervals) million sellers list, or better still Top 200 of all-time (it won't be long before all 200 are million sellers anyway) B-)
