This, Flo Rida doesn't need anymore #1's unless he surprises us and releases something you know GOOD! which for me is rare.

It could be because the John Legend version is being treated as a single rather than a remix (like the A$AP Rocky feature on 'I'm Not the Only One') or because profits from the original version won't be going to Comic Relief whereas the John Legend version will.

Still baffled that they aren't combined but at least they will still get to no1 now.

 

It was the same with Prayer In C, the two versions charted separately. It's in the best interests of the song/artist/label that they'd be combined imo, but in both cases they got #1 anyway so probably didn't matter too much.
