Hii and welcome to a new feature in the Urban Forum hosted by Davidson and I. Over the next few weeks, we'll be relistening to, picking apart and rejecting our least favourite Kanye West singles. It's a near impossible job, but someone has to do it.

 

A mammoth discography, so to contain it a little, i have only included singles where Kanye West is credited as the lead artist. I have also only used those singles that have had an official release in the UK (and we have a nice round 30 this way). Yes that means the likes of 'Monster' have not been included, but as it wasn't released in the UK it had to be done :( Depending on the voting numbers, we may have to cull a couple in the first few rounds especially if there are ties. *prays i haven't missed anything else that should be here*

Good to see this again. I'm not sure if it will be too similar at the top end (though 'All of the Lights' i expect will do very well here too), but i think, and hope, this is a good indication to what is likely to drop out first.

 

'Heard 'Em Say' is my least favourite single off the solo albums, so if that can go soon i will not be fussed.

I'm no huge Kanye fan and I admit to not hearing about 10 of these but...

LIFT OFF?!? It's glorious!

 

 

Also, no Monster :( That really is a fantastic rap track.

Ooh, will be interesting to see how this turns out.

 

'Slow Jamz' is an easy first pick for me but looking through that singles discography, I can tell it's gonna get tough fast. :blink:

This is going to get so hard when we really get down to it, dreading it already.

 

'Heard 'Em Say' for me is my early pick. So uneventful for a Kanye song. Didn't think 'Slow Jamz' would stick about too long but doesn't strike me as being worthy of first to go, even if it is a bit forgotten.

Very unpopular opinion but Niggas In Paris. The amount I had to endure that in clubs became too much to bear...

Going with H.A.M as it's utterly dire in every way, Paris is terrible too, No Church In The Wild was the only one I really liked from the Throne era.

 

He's very hit and miss in general for me, but he does have some gems.

I mean it isn't THAT bad but 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger' really just shouldn't be touched, even by Yeezus.

 

The only other notably weak-ish links here are 'Why I Love You' and 'Lift Off' (both among the weaker tracks on 'Watch The Throne'), I'm not sure I could bring myself to vote for any of the others in the context of 'least favourite' :o

Was thinking it would be impossible but then I saw Lift Off. Probably my least favourite song in Kanye's entire discography.

Once that goes it'll be impossible though!

 

Also...votes for H.A.M.?! One of my faaaves.

Diamonds... to go for me, have never liked that one.

So much quality :o Sort of surprised I know all the songs as I still haven't listened to Late Registration or Graduation; one day!

Where are "Amazing" and "Paranoid"? Surely they were singles as well?
