Is there any sign of Natalia Kills entering the iTunes chart? I was hoping all this press would have got her music a bit of attention!

 

I guess being a horrific bully on tv is one way of promoting music

I think Capital FM is going to start playing it, if it does it'll chart top 40.

With pre-orders not being included on the iTunes chart on release, I think it's going to make songs debut even lower now. There'll be a lot of songs which will miss out on the top 10 effect. GDFR might never had made #1 on iTunes if it didn't have the pre-orders to boost it there. So basically I think this'll make the charts move even slower.

 

Also, The Big Top 40 Show people aren't going to like this, as a lot of the new releases aren't going to be top 10 by 6pm on Sunday anymore. :lol:

GDFR definitely would have got to #1 on iTunes anyway, it is #2 on the official sales chart so it's only possibly the Sam Smith/John Legend song that would have stopped it getting there on iTunes but that got released a day after Flo Rida.

In all fairness her music is still brilliant, but as much as I've pined for her to be successful for so long she doesn't deserve it. At all.

Well tbf it *would* be if its pre-orders were added on :P (though it's not far off anyway, to #12 now. An official top 10 place might be a big ask though, expecting a #11 debut on Sunday)

They were added in to the Itunes chart at the time they were pre-ordered. Previously they were added twice, once then and once when the pre-order was converted to a purchase. They're now added only once. You can argue at which point they should be added, but it was certainly illogical under the previous system when they were added twice.

It's probably for the best this way, the iTunes chart will be a lot more interesting to follow on Sunday's now when the new songs get released instead of all the action happening at 12:45 AM in the early hours of Sunday.
