I hope they explain why a Black Eyed Peas song is being played as a one-hit wonder, I'm sure many people didn't realise this was actually a Sergio Mendes song

Well that was fun. It's challenging trying to produce posts as quickly as possible without knowing in advance what the songs will be, I guess those who do the Chart Show threads at least have some sort of idea what's coming up (most of the time) but it makes me appreciate how much work they put in every Sunday. I was aiming for within 30 seconds of the song starting but I know I was later than that at least once or twice.

 

At least I already had all the chart runs in a text file ready to cut & paste.

 

If there are better videos to embed instead of the ones I found on a three-second search on Youtube, I could edit the posts.

I think this is the first time I've ever heard this in full (I recognise the hooky bit from an ad). Quite a cool song, more BEP than Sergio so feels like cheating a bit but there you go!

Another fairly recent one, then! This is majorly elevated by the visuals in the music video. :heart:

Bingo Players :heart: shame it needed this rap to be a hit but I don't mind the rap version too much now.

This still sounds pretty great, and yes the video is amazing :heart:

I think if I were to rank all the songs by the Bingo Players, this would be a very slight second, behind "Knock You Out".

Oh my gosh, 'Bad Day'! Gorgeous track, haven't heard it in an absolute age. Reminds me of Alvin & the Chipmunks, though. :kink:
