April 19, 201511 yr The variances between the iTunes chart and actual are becoming bigger and bigger as streaming grows - Ciara went Top 25 I think on iTunes and can't even make the Top 75 officially, Makes the charts more interesting I guess as for the last few years we have known if something is Top 5 on iTunes then that's how it will chart officially.

April 19, 201511 yr I wouldn't put it down to just streaming growing, I'd put it down to sales being low, therefore making it easier for a lack of streams to knock a song down. Besides, Ciara was "only" #46 on sales despite being top 25 on iTunes.

As for the 1,300th #1 milestone just 10 away it could happen at the end of the year, if we keep on getting longer spells at #1..

April 19, 201511 yr Paul Simon number 1 in the albums is one of the biggest surprises i have got in along time when i seen the chart as it wasnt really in contention all week, i really expected Ed or Sam to be number 1, so it was a nice surprise. Good to see the Killers on both the singles and album chart and also Take That back in the top 100 albums!

The Witch Is Dead' fell from 2-65, but has there been any other song that fell from the Top 10 to lower than 68? Or has Stevie broken a record?!

Or has Stevie broken a record?!I think the last time this happened was Union J's infamous fall almost out of the top 75 from late August: 74 9 2 Union J Tonight (We Live Forever) It was all downhill from there. In comparison, glad Nick Jonas actually held up on sales. I was fearing that after pulling a "You Got It All" it will drop off the face of the earth and he'd be dropped in two months time. April 20, 201511 yr The Sales chart is much more interesting and Streaming isn't a huge indicator of what's popular as people are lazy and just listen to those top 100 play lists mostly - Kygo and Omi were featured in them so that's why they would've done so well. Ah well.
