No veto points were given for the personal chart thing so it doesn't matter anyway.

It's not about charting a song but rather about how many people already know the song.

That's how I see it anyway.

I've always wondered how strict the personal chart veto was. I got vetoed included adding Magnetic to my top 200 of 2013 which wasn't really fair (and wouldn't have even had it there if I didn't decide to bring my EOYs over from UKCAW

And I hope the veto checkers actually go through the PC threads rather than adding the threads that come up in the search because I add a lot of songs as contenders for my chart without actually charting them

As Bray said, charting in PC doesn't factor in in terms of points unless over 7 individuals have charted the song. We list it as a factor which sways us in deciding on borderline tracks on whether we would boot it or let it remain

I've been told by Jack that there are 2 official vetoes (possibly more to come later). Definitely gone are these two though:

Erik Hassle - No Words

Rachel Platten - Fight Song

I have informed the person who sent Erik but the other person's PM inbox is full, could you delete a few PMs please? Thank u ~

Those foul veto kraken BEASTS!!

Yes, but it still counts :P

Perhaps the veto shouldn't include your own chart?

but the mods don't know who sent what (or at least shouldn't!) so there's no way for them to know that

Maybe I will put potentials in my charts in code then :kink:

Personal charts do not count towards the veto unless a song has significant presence there (looking at the veto framework you'd need 7 people to chart it - so 6 excluding yourself - for it to get any veto points at all, and when it gets to that level it's probably veto-worthy in other respects as well).

EDIT: Oh Yu has already said this, oop, didn't see ~

Yeah when the veto framework rules were released the moderators changed the minimum number of charts to get 3 veto points from 1 to 2 to allow the sender of the song to chart it themselves without penalty.

And that rule doesn't even exist now anyway! :kink:

I'm glad I can add 'foul veto kraken BEAST' to my list of traits

also would anyone be willing to listen to some potentials? don't do this often but i'm having a bit of a crisis now Hypnotic is gone!

We don't point for Personal Chart support unless there's a significant number of them.

If your song is in enough charts to be points worthy then it's probably already been vetoed.

Okay it looks like we have another SIX vetoes lawl. I did know y'all had been cheap hoes but I didn't think as many as 9 songs would be rejected

Billie - Give Me The Knife

Brooke Fraser - Kings & Queens

Vanbot - Seven

Dawn Richard - Phoenix (feat. Aundrea Fimbres)

Katy Tiz - Whistle (While You Work It)

Nicky Romero vs. Volt & State - Warriors

I don't really see how Brooke Fraser is veto-worthy but there you go, not my decision. The rest I kind of get.

A further 6 more vetos have been dished out. Apologies to the participants who sent these!

Dawn Richard - Phoenix (feat. Aundrea Fimbres) 22

- Artist sent in LXII (4th) 3 + 12

- Album which song contained within featured on Pitchfork with an in depth review of "Phoenix". Also featured on Idolator and spin 7

- Two Buzzjack threads on it (one on another song off the album and one on the actual album, although the former is very minimal)

Katy Tiz - Whistle (While You Work It) 21

- Good amount of blog coverage, but not MAJOR ones.

- Song hit #54 in Australia 7

- Artist sent in LIV (7th), LXIV (36th) 7 + 7

- PC support: Cody, Liam

Nicky Romero vs. Volt & State - Warriors 19

- Artist sent in LXX (DNQ), LII (4th) 12 + 7

- Hasn't charted yet, but I'm sure it will.

Brooke Fraser - Kings & Queens 22

- Artist sent in XXV (4th), XXXII (29th) 3 + 12

- Album got to #6 in NZ and #23 in Aus last year 7

Billie - Give Me The Knife 12

- HELLO AGAIN.

- "Won Popjustice Song Contest placing #1 with 197 points in comparison to the #2 receiving only 109"

- 300k views on Youtube

- Significant following in Buzzjack (5 confirmations last month and well known song now) 12

Vanbot - Seven 22

- Scandipop 7

- Artist sent before in XXXIII (3rd), XLIII (15th), LV (1st) 3, 12

Can people not just give up on "Give Me The Knife" now please?
i'm confused, i thought that in the veto framework that points weren't sposed to double up? so like a top 5 and a top 30 for instance would only get you 12 points for the top 5 because it works up to that?
