I don't like the title or the cover but I love Hold My Hand and I liked her features on the Clean Bandit album, so I'm very much looking forward to this.

Pretty sure that every song will be a happy song about being on love over some generic Clean Bandit like beats. She is like a Lidl version of Katy B.

I'll take that in an era full of drippy/depressing ballads thank you :)

Thank god someone agrees!

I will definitely be interested in buying this. I have liked all her singles so far but hold my hand is my favourite.

This, presumably by accident, is available to buy on Irish iTunes! I've just seen the lyric video for latest instant grat 'Gave Me Something' on Jess' Facebook page, so gorgeous.

Reading through this topic, I like the title of the album.

Before it was revealed I saw one of those in between ads interviews on 4music where they asked her to reveal something about herself that we didn't know. And she replied "I cry when I laugh". To see it as the album title makes me more fond of it. It feels like she's a friend which I'm sure was their intention.

DBSHOY has been growing on me too but I'm curious to see what else she has to offer.

I'm not impressed by either the title or the artwork to be fair, although I will definitely listen to this. Don't Be So Hard On Yourself's artwork is much better than this one in my honest opinion.

This album is brilliant. Love all the tracks we are getting when you pre-order on iTunes.

Hope Jess gets the record #1 on Friday aswell. :)

judging from the preview tracks this is going to be one of the albums of year for sure~ ^_^

The Wikipedia page for this already states DBSHOY is a #1. Very strange.

Wikipedia is therefore psychic.

Saddest Vanilla

I have in my head a single release for this with a November X Factor performance that sees Jess and Emeli standing back to back looking away from each other while performing this song before it duly rockets up to No.1, giving Jess that sixth No.1 and smashing Cheryl's record once and for all.

Listened to this yesterday (just as I did, Nottingham got a big downpour with rumbles of thunder, which I found amusing) and tbh, barring the singles, nothing really left much of an impression at all and I can't see what else will be a hit?. Rich's proposed 'Saddest Vanilla' situation could actually work out, I guess and maybe 'Gave Me Something' will do something, but I'd be surprised if it was as big as her previous singles.

But yeah, overall very average. Which is a shame as the singles were top notch (well, most of them).

DBSHOY is really hitting the spot right now though!

This album is disappointing. Was hoping for more house-y tracks like 'My Love' (which is still my favorite thing which she has done - even if it's not REALLY hers) but instead all we got is tracks that are even poppier than 'Hold My Hand' and 'Don't Be So Hard on Yourself'. Nothing stands out for me.

I do love the cover. One of my favorite covers of the past few years. I just wish the weird thing coming out of her eye wasn't there.

I quite like the album, although it's not what I expected. I was hoping for a more dancier feel to the album. I think "Saddest Vanilla"/"Ain't Too Far To Go"/"Why Me"/"Gave Me Something" would be my pick for singles at the moment. Really like "If It Ain't Right" though.
It's OK, at best. Some female singers are best remaining as guest vocalists as opposed to outright mega stars... although the two solo number one hits may mean I stand corrected!
This is all too samey and boring. She IS the saddest vanilla of the UK music scene at the moment :magic:
I thought the album would be more dancier - she has definitely released the strongest songs as singles so far. Take me home is a lovely ballad and crying out for release.
