Does anyone know how much PG shifted in Pre-orders before? I remember it reaching Top 50 on pre-orders so maybe that can give an added boost to it's sales? it needs those spotify streams though.

RE: the Charlie Puth/Meghan Trainor soundalike at 812. Never underestimate the British public's stupidity in downloading a carbon copy of a song not on iTunes when the original is available readily on Amazon (and indeed, #1 on that chart). Have they still not got an official UK release date in place for it then?

 

Puzzling. The momentum around this record is huge at the moment with the exposure from the Fiat advert. I bet by the time it does get an official release to iTunes and Spotify people will be past caring when this has #1 written all over it. Very sad as I've not heard another record so far this year more deserving of having every copy in the world destroyed and everyone involved in its creation locked up in a maximum security prison for a hundred years.

I had a feeling WALK THE MOON were going to continue to move up this week after their slower than expected start (and I think I read that Capital are now playing it? So that'll obviously be helpful too, I'm actually a bit surprised they've picked it up as they often still avoid 'indie' songs even when they're proper hits, not that 'Shut Up And Dance' is particularly indie but it still doesn't entirely seem like Capital's cup of tea). No doubt it'll be sticking around for quite a while to come.
