Why would Martial be scoring? He's not getting any support from the players in midfield. United are impotent because there's no chemistry between any of their regular starters right now. Depay is a fabulous player but he's not thriving because the team as a whole is a muddled mess. Van Gaal won't be there next season.

Loads of Man Utd fans think they're getting Pep Guardiola  Funny! I still think he will be there next season personally.

United are set up not to concede, I don't know why van Gaal plays this way now. I can only assume because he's not convinced his teams recently (and I include the Dutch national side) can be expansive and not be subjective to the counter attack / high press.

Where's the praise for Bournemouth? They played well again today and got another excellent result. To have got six points from the last two games, when zero would not have been a surprise, is a great achievement. I had hoped that the Everton result would give them a boost, but was also rather worried that the following two games were against Chelsea and Man U.

The big difference in the last two games is that the defence is looking a lot more solid. It helps that Boruc is looking rather better than he did in his last game before an enforced break.

It does bug me that Martial seems to be immune to criticism, always the midfield's fault he's getting no support. But put Rooney up front and suddenly it's all "he's past it" etc. and only his fault if we don't score.

I don't think it's entirely down to Van Gaal either, like a lot of the trigger happy United fans. Sack him now and nothing would change I would be sure of that.

Good game at Upton Park today. Not a bad result considering all the injuries we have and West Ham had more than their fair share of chances to win (as did Stoke tbf). Refreshing to see players willing to beat a man and we have loads of those now. Zarate, Song and Antonio stood out in that respect and Kouyate was excellent again. Even Carroll had a good game, balls played into his feet is the way to go.

Listening to the phone-ins on the way home, some United fans are still behind van Gaal although more and more want him out. Massive respect to Bournemouth today, they sounded excellent.

I think a lot of it is down to Van Gaal, but the rot happened long before him. Man Utd have heavily invested in a load of shit. And the youth players they're currently playing, I have no idea. A lot of them won't even make it in the Premier League.

Bournemouth did play very well today, but they could have easily have lost the game through their own mistakes. At least twice, the defenders fluffed their clearances. OK they recovered, but they were making unforced errors. If you have a team with more firepower they will punish those errors. And Boruc, one moment he makes a top draw save.. the next he flaps. That said I think the attacking player was top class.

OMG I love this season

We got lucky. Just void of any quality and cannot defender set pieces.

Ah well think of the positives, one point closer to Spurs & Man Utd!

It's just crazy, the shock scorelines just keep on coming. Moreso the Spurs - Newcastle game.

I'd now back Chelsea to beat Leicester the way this weekend's gone!

Get the feeling that from February time the results will start being 'normal' again. I'm glad Newcastle won, they're a poor team but I don't think they're going to get relegated this year.

Chelsea only a point above the relegation zone now. But I'm expecting them to win tomorrow.

Jose will love the challenge of stopping Leicester the way they are playing this season but would love vardy to tear them apart!

I'd say the results will start to go back to normal sooner than Feb now the European games are over til Feb - I expect the 'big teams' to go on runs now!

The Christmas period is always crucial. We will be seriously stretched with the fixture congestion, but seemingly everyone is having an injury crisis right now so I wouldn't be surprised if we get more surprise results over the next month or so. The league looks to be between Arsenal and City though.

City & Arsenal looking most likely at the moment but as we all know that could well change. City will be better when Aguero & Kompany for sure but any time they both miss a match they look vulnerable. Arsenal just give me the feeling it'll be the same old with them, they'll fade away about February time as per.

As for United well it's looking pretty bleak right now despite the league position. Need our defence back for starters but the problems at the other end aren't going away any time soon it seems.

It was good to hear Alan Shearer mention Bournemouth's injury list on MOTD last night. We keep hearing about the Manchester clubs, Arsenal etc. having several players out injured. However, at least they have a much stronger squad than a club like Bournemouth, who have lost several key players for most, if not all, of the season. Yet, as Shearer said, you don't hear Eddie Howe constantly whinging about that. He just gets on with the job with the players at his disposal.

That said, the fact that Bournemouth will go into the January transfer window with a realistic chance of staying up makes it more likely that they will be aiming to buy one or two players to strengthen the squad. It will be easier to convince the money men that it is worth the investment, and it should be easier to persuade players to sign up.

Would I be right in saying that Aston Villa are the longest lasting team in the top flight of English football? the thought of not seeing them on Match Of The Day next season will be so weird but with only 6 points at this stage of the season they look doomed.
Yeh think so though Areenal and Everton have been there a while too!
Aston Villa were relegated at the end of the 1986-87 season ... think Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, Man Utd and Spurs have been in the top division for longer.
Leicester look like genuine title contenders at the moment, they're heading back to the top of the table!

This is too funny.

Despite Costa being an utter bellend I have no problems with Chelsea but HOW have they got so bad this year. What has happened? What are they going to do to turn it around?

No reason why they aren't genuine title contenders at the moment. Fantastic stuff from them.

Vardy winding up Costa :P
