I wish people would just let the song rest already in general. I liked the Steve Angello version (more a remix than a cover I guess) but the others that cover / sample it have been largely egh and this Sam Feldt one is actively dreadful, stripping the song of anything that made it interesting. The original is still a classic of course.

I'm surprised there even is another Conor Maynard single for them to not playlist.

Disappointed first of all to see Bros & Regret not promoted to the Alist on the week of their album release yet there's still room for single 5 from a massively exposed album which is exactly a year old. It doesn't need support. Two fantastic tracks.

 

Great additions for Major Lazer (Powerful was Hottest record a few weeks back), Disclosure (finally), Prides and the new Raury track is his best yet - was a HR last week and it sounds like early first album Kanye West a real amazing track, have a listen!

Kelly up to the B-List!!

 

Amazing for most the new additions and great to see them actually playlist 'Chains'! I can see this doing very well for him. Maybe a peak of around 7 or 8. Great for both girl groups too! Always nice to see two girl groups on the playlist at the same time!

First of all, another MASSIVE A-list clear-out! Third week in a row! Fun-tastic news.

Another positive moment is the quality of new additions. I like 6\10 NE (this result is just PERFECT), didn't listen to 2\10, 'Chains' is neutral one and...unfortunately, totally dislike another dull 'Show Me Love' cover despite it is Sam Feldt whose works I've noticed this year.

Lol, looks like it's the last days of Rixton's career? I don't think R1 will deal with them next time.

I don't comment very much I''m ashamed to say but its about time the radio1 playlist embraced pop a little more and this playlist is the most varied in ages. Looks like fifth harmony will have a deserved smashed, amazed that they are still supporting Kelly C too.

It seems bizarre that only five of the songs on this playlist are currently top 40! That almost seems too low :o

 

And I'd echo the negative reaction toward 'Show Me Love'. Hope it underperforms.

^^Thats great to see they are playing the songs that will be top 40 in the coming weeks. Albeit there isnt too much new in the top 40 at the min as so many potential hits are held back. Also most of the top 10 were previously on the playlist and had high rotation!!

I think that's more to do with the charts being so stale these days. A better comparison would probably be to see which songs in the current Top 40 were at some point playlisted by Radio 1.

The next single after this will be 'Teacher', which I can't wait for.
