Posted June 27, 20159 yr http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/n...nowledge__9882/ I got 15 out of 22. how many can you get? And no Cheating! ;)
June 27, 20159 yr 17/22 my wrong answers were the most consecutive #1s question [damn you westlife], the sales gap question (that was really a guess, the difference between answers was barely anything), who kicked Whitney off #1 (thought it was Shaggy for some reason), the year Cher got a #1 and how many years between Kylie chart toppers
June 27, 20159 yr I got 17, pretty happy with that, though a couple were guesses. The Pharrell Williams question isn't clear enough as it could mean either the number of separate periods at #1 or number of weeks.
June 27, 20159 yr 19! Surprised myself there  Annoyed that I got the Westlife one wrong. I thought it was Spice Girls!
June 27, 20159 yr 17/22! Felt I got lucky with a lot of those. (missed ABBA's last #1, the first #1 of the 21st century, Lily/Bastille, the X Factor Christmas #1 misses and 2010's #1s)
June 27, 20159 yr I only got 8 - but a lot of the questions fell between 1985 & 2003 when I wasn't following the charts. :teresa:
June 27, 20159 yr 20! :o I didn't get the last ABBA #1 or who stopped 'Vienna' getting to #1. Can't believe I actually remembered how many copies stopped Bastille getting to #1! Beat that Bre. ^_^

Can't believe I actually remembered how many copies stopped Bastille getting to #1! Beat that Bre. ^_^ Well I didn't beat that (I got 15) but how did you not get the Vienna question? That's surely one of the few questions here that even non chart geeks could probably get (especially as there were two correct answers - I claim a bonus point for knowing both of them :P) Ones I didn't get: years between Kylie's #1s, number of #1s in 2010, year of Cher's second #1 (I was certain she didn't have another one until 'Believe'!), number of sales between Lily Allen and Bastille, song that knocked Whitney off #1, last ABBA #1, longest running #1 of 2003

That's surely one of the few questions here that even non chart geeks could probably get (especially as there were two correct answers - I claim a bonus point for knowing both of them :P) To be honest I don't even know what 'Vienna' sounds like! :P I'll probably know it if I listened as it is one of the biggest "shoulda been a #1". But yeah, I've never known what blocked it.
June 27, 20159 yr I almost got the oldest person to get a #1 wrong too - I thought Cher at first, then remembered that ghastly Comic Relief cover of 'Islands in the Stream' that Tom Jones featured on. Speaking of Madge's #1s, you can rate them in the link in my signature. :kink:
June 27, 20159 yr Oh I got 11. I feel like Manics should count as the first #1 of the 21st century since Westlife first hit #1 at the end of 1999, but then to be more pedantic the 21st century is supposed to start at 2001, I'm certainly not bitter about getting it wrong
June 27, 20159 yr 19 for me! The ones I got wrong: Lily/Bastille sales gap (I had no idea, I guessed, it was wrong). longest runner at no1 in 2003 (was sure it was Beyonce). Madonna's no1's (I tried counting them up in my head, but completely forgot about "Sorry" and "American Pie".) Edited June 27, 20159 yr by donnahjaneymack
June 27, 20159 yr Got 2 wrong: the Lily Allen-Bastille sales gap, and the first #1 of 2000 (ambiguously worded IMO).
