I use Spotify now and then but not regularly. I have also a large music library and buy some music on itunes. But I can imagine I will use more often the Apple Music.

I wish there would be a good streaming service with videos included (and not Youtube).

I use Spotify in work but that's it, I don't like streaming otherwise

What does Apple streaming have that Spotify doesn't? Not sure why people seem to be waiting for it so they can start streaming.

You can seamlessly integrate your iTunes library - it's still the same programme! So you can still have your old faves that might be a bit obscure or not available on streaming services alongside new somgs and albums.

I mean you can integrate your stuff on Spotify too but only on PC, but I use it on my iPad which is annoying when things aren't on there and you can't sync them from your actual library :drama:

Apple Music includes HD music videos by the look of it :)

Yes I do think the easy integration with your "local files" library is going to encourage more downloaders to make the switch. Not me for the moment though.

Streaming is definitely my preferred way of consuming music, and I started in late 2012 so it's not like it's a new thing for me. I don't ever buy albums anymore and very rarely buy singles.
I very rarely stream music, I always prefer to have a song on my iPod so I can listen to it both through iTunes and on the go, with no hassle. I only really use Spotify for trying out albums to see if they're worth a purchase or not, or when I'm at a relative's house and can't plug my iPod in :kink:
I stream most of my music these days (on Spotify Free because I'm a cheapskate). I just find it more convienent considering most of my music now is on my iPad and the only service the scribbles for me is Spotify.
I mainly use Spotify Premium. With Apple Music launching today, I may use both as there are some songs that are not on Spotify that may be in Apple Music (ie. Taylor Swift, although I have already bought 1989 and some other songs).

I think mainly those are waiting for it, that use already an iPhone, iPad, Mac. But that's quite a lot of people.

I downloaded spotify in summer of last year and so glad I did. I love being able to discover tons of new music and listen to it. I tend to use spotify to listen to new albums to see if I want to buy them. I still buy songs/albums if I enjoy them, but I'll also stream whilst listening to it at home. Especially now that it counts towards the chart and certifications for singles.

I mainly stream songs I remember and want to listen to again but not purchase, and to test out albums from new artists I'm interested in.

iPod for everything else (but I always purchase albums on cd)

i overwhelmingly use streaming for general listening ^_^, tbh i can't imagine a world without streaming now ~ WAVS, FLACS + Vinyl for the decks :music:

I really don't see the point of paying for a streaming service when you can just use YouTube and hear pretty much any song you want (it's actually probably MORE expansive than any paid streaming service), 100% legally and 100% free. Each to their own I guess.

I download songs I like to support the artists ~

All the time. I stream when I'm going to sleep. I download new music but if I want to listen something old I'll listen on Spotify or youtube.

OMG that explains the streaming charts so much! It's music to listen to while you're asleep or else to make you comatose!

I've started to stream more and more in the past 12 months and I can definitely see why it's become so popular. I haven't totally switched to streaming 100% yet however as a lot of music I listen to is not available in the UK (territory restrictions to DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH NOW) so I have to download from iTunes.

Apart from that the only thing that concerns me about switching to streaming full time is that if you download a song it's yours to play whenever you want. However streaming relies on you having an internet connection (not a huge problem but it does go down every now and then) and also THEY control what's there for you to stream so you could go to listen to something to find it's been taken off the service. Again I can't see why labels would do that but I have read about it happening, I think it was scandipop on Twitter.

The good thing that I didn't realise to relatively recently is that offline listening is possible so it is effectively all-you-can-eat downloads until you stop subscribing!
