4 weeks at #1 for Black Magic? :drama:

It wouldn't be that surprising really. Massive lead on iTunes and currently #2 on the Radio Airplay Chart (probably #1 next week as well). With no 'major' releases in the pipeline, it all bodes well for a long running #1. I just hope that 'Marvin Gaye' rubbish doesn't get moved forward. :puke:

Not if Calvin Harris, John Newman, Aston Merrygold or Years & Years can throw a spanner in the works

#1 on the rolling airplay chart. I think it depends how far it falls/how much streaming it gets. I wouldn't be surprised if Years & Years/Lost Frequencies/David Zowie challenged Little Mix for the top spot next week/the subsequent weeks with streaming involved. Although saying that it depends if Spotify will contribute towards the chart.

I think Little Mix will be top 3 on streaming next week. But I'm still a bit at sea with these predictions because it looks like Spotify still can't sort themselves out!

I don't think Zowie will be an issue though, he's showing signs of falling maybe quite quickly now.

Um ... who is BUYING it exactly???

it´s like some cheesy d-list soundtrack song for a direct-to-dvd Disney channel original.

it´s utterly ATROCIOUS, lifted from the Spice Girls´old discarded 90s demos.

Awful.

it's a fun pop song

It´s a cheesy 90s throwback, Spice Girls-wannabe track and makes no sense.

Zowie has 3 versions in the top 100 and can see him doing well on streaming. He's only #37 on the rolling airplay chart, so has a lot of room to grow in airplay. But, doubt it'll mean much as you've said, it looks like spotify can't sort themselves out! I'm just wondering, but are spotify having the same issues in the US? If not, then don't see why they're having these issues in the UK unless it's a fault in a UK server or something.

Wrong choice of words imo. Black Magic is nowhere near to being the best song in the charts at the moment.

Fair enough, each to their own and all that. I personally think it's the best song in the charts right now and deserves to be #1. :D

I can see Little Mix having 2-3 inconsecutive weeks at #1 with John Newman in the middle.

EDIT: Ooh Avicii could also be a good contender depending on how much sales will drop because of streaming.

Surprised you've only just heard it now, it's been huge in Finland for weeks. :P

Yes it is... I have tried to avoid it because I feared for the worst.. and the only radio station I listen to doesn't play it.

I would LOL if Ashton got the #1 as a solo artist when all those JLS singles in the last few years kept on flopping  maybe a split was the good thing to do after all :heehee:

'Fun' is quite a fun track so I hope it can get in the top 40 or even have a similar run to Time of Our Lives :D

And that Tinashe track is still getting hype! :o Hopefully it should get in the top 75 or higher

Poor Whisky Story though :snif: it's also quite a track to listen to. Great chorus :music:

Jess Glynne's "Don't Be So Hard On Yourself" is set to be released on August 14th. Surely that's a contender for No. 1? Surprised that it's not in the Top 1500 on preorders yet.

The Little Mix isn't my thing at all, but I can see why its doing so well. When I first heard it, it sounded like an obvious #1 to me with a wider appeal than a standard girl-group song.

I agree that it's nowhere near the best song in the chart right now though. However, its a pop song designed for the pop charts so I don't care that it's doing well.

Next few weeks looking sparse for new releases though. Hopefully that means songs like House Every Weekend, Not Letting Go, Freak Of The Week, Trap Queen & I Don't Like It, I Love It stay high up there.

The best thing about the Little Mix track doing well is that it might spark a pop revival :D

 14. Bring Me The Horizon - Happy Song

they're back after their iTunes #1 smashaa 'Drown' with an OA/OS release then (and releasing on a Monday too, looks like someone didn't get the memo)
