July 10, 201511 yr Author The OCC website seems to be having some teething problems so the charts will be coming at an as yet undetermined time later...
July 10, 201511 yr The sales must have been woeful. 17k for the number 10 single (seeing as streaming data was lost) and 3.2k for the number 10 album are my guesses for the top ten thresholds.
July 10, 201511 yr It's been published and Avicii has mysteriously dropped out of the Top 100 from last weeks 43.
July 10, 201511 yr The OCC website seems to be having some teething problems so the charts will be coming at an as yet undetermined time later... Perhaps they've re-run the chart, and are now trying to wrest the trophy from Zowie's hands?
July 10, 201511 yr The sales must have been woeful. 17k for the number 10 single (seeing as streaming data was lost) and 3.2k for the number 10 album are my guesses for the top ten thresholds. So we know for *sure* that the streaming data was lost, now?
July 10, 201511 yr Shake It Off very nearly back in the top 40! Pretty much the combined & sales chart will be near identical this week. Silento in at #69!
July 10, 201511 yr So we know for *sure* that the streaming data was lost, now? well if spotify have completely pulled the plug on giving the occ their streaming data (and they've done it without warning in other countries) then this chart would be correct...
July 10, 201511 yr I'm so happy that Petite Meller made it to number 30, but I know had this been a 'normal' week she'd have more than likely missed out! I wouldn't be surprised if some of those top 10 fall outs re enter next week :(
July 10, 201511 yr If Spotify have permanently pulled out then I'll happily tune into the chart again going forwards, it will be far less stale! (Though not exactly the accurate representation of music listening tastes that the OCC are so keen to promote!)
July 10, 201511 yr I hope spotify aren't pulling out of giving their data permanently, what would that achieve anyway?? is it meant to be a protest at OCC counting apple music streams because if so it's a weak one.
July 10, 201511 yr Author Perhaps they've re-run the chart, and are now trying to wrest the trophy from Zowie's hands? Why do people keep saying this? David Zowie is AHEAD of Years & Years on Spotify. This is such a mess if Spotify is really pulling its data from the chart permanently  In time Apple Muisic will likely become as dominant as Spotify was anyway, but in the mean time if there's gonna be no Spotify data the charts could prove to be interesting.
July 10, 201511 yr I hope spotify aren't pulling out of giving their data permanently, what would that achieve anyway?? is it meant to be a protest at OCC counting apple music streams because if so it's a weak one. that would be very stupid from Spotify, but let's just stay positive and think there's an internal problem. They didn't even really update their charts this week which was also very strange.
July 10, 201511 yr The spotify chart is still likely to be out of date by a few days as it was yesterday. So there's no actual way of knowing if Shine was behind Zowie for sure. Though of course it is very likely. It's interesting from the streaming services they did collate (Apple, Deezer, napster etc) shine has gone to #9 in the streaming charts and HEW is #16
July 10, 201511 yr I think Spotify had more of a glitch to be honest, that's the way I'm looking at it, I wouldn't think they pull out because of competition from Apple, that would be silly. As all the sales were accountable when the updates came available during the week.
