It's almost a proper actual chart with all the dreadful dross that wont go away thanks to streaming taking dives, and taylor swift showing that she's the real big act of the moment once streaming data is out of the picture.

I would have preferred Years And Years at 1, and some better records in the top 10, along with Lost Frequencies and Years And Years, but overall i'd be more than happy for Spotify to disappear up it's own tedious repeat-listeners each week. The lower end of the chart was ruined long ago. This is not sour grapes just because Brandon Flowers brilliant I Can Change is now 42 on sales after several weeks hanging around, and even with Spotify gone it still can only manage 56, but at least it's a "chart entry" now.

No doubt Ed Sheeran & co will reassert next week...

Not that I'm complaining but where has the surge in sales come from for bon Jovis greatest hits?I'm loving seeing it top 30 as its close to becoming another million selling album, although in still peeved Cheryl kept it off number 1 with an album that has sold far far less overall.

singles sales and audio streaming charts now typed up in 3rd post.

The audio streaming chart is very interesting to say the least. Lots of Taylor Swift entries.

Today's chart was easily the most exciting chart that there's been for over a year imo. Streaming has really put the charts in a chokehold over the past 12 months, the charts were so much more interesting and fresh when it was only based on sales. There was a bit of a buzz when Cheerleader fell out of the top 10 for the first time in ages but on the flipside Lean On was a casualty also.

Nathan Sykes should count himself very lucky to be at #14 as he would have been much much lower than that if all the data was included and if it was a 7 day chart instead of a 5 day one.

How the hell are Krept & Konan #6 on the streaming chart? they're not even close to that in any of the streaming websites.

they must be doing well on Apple Music, and as there's no Spotify data that has a bigger effect on the streaming chart this week

WTF lol

43 33 50 Hozier ~ Take Me To Church

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

End of an era :(

I suspect both that and Thinking Out Loud have lost their place due to the lack of Spotify data. If the OCC continue to pretend that there has not been a problem, the all-time list of top forty runs will be affected.

But it soon won't be representative - in 5 years the no1 download might only sell 15/20k copies or less. The songs that hang around are the future classics - there are other NE in the chart that fall much quicker.

Poor Talking Body crashing down 50 from #44 to #94.
