Do you really think so? I mean I can't imagine it'll sell as much in the first week as She Looks So Perfect, and I doubt it'll sit at number one on iTunes all week. Also it seems like Spotify are sorting out their problems so Little Mix will have a strong streaming advantage from the get go

 

I wouldn't be surprised. Who knows, but I I could certainly seeing #2 being easy since Years & Years are looking at only selling 58k at #2 this week. It depends what kind of lead they have by tonight on iTunes and at what point in the week their dark red updates start coming.

 

I would have preferred if they held it back though, as I really don't like when songs go #1/2 and then fall to 10/11 in the next week because they haven't built enough airplay yet.

Why is Calvin doing so horribly?

For an On Air/On Sale release he's doing pretty decently I think, it didn't have as much hype around it as 'Blame' did and he is nearly outselling John Newman so he's doing pretty good so far. It should keep gaining momentum too whereas John will start falling in a day or two.

Little Mix are at 73.13% now and the gap is only going to increase more for the rest of the day.

I do think they've pretty much got this now.

 

It's not too bad to be fair, but I don't really want it at #1.

I will believe that they "got" it when I see them at #1 on Monday still!

Now I understand the John Newman stuff I do find it kind of funny, but that's not to say I would have if I'd been around reading about it for as long as some have :P Reminds me a little of that Livewire prank that happened earlier on this year!

 

I guess number one really will depend on how much streaming Little Mix have been getting, I definitely can see 5SOS tailing off when their fanbase have bought the single, it's not the sort of single I can imagine many of their non fans buying and streaming unlike their other two hits which I found pretty infectious actually
