Her stories are literally awful to watch. I’m embarrassed for her.

She’s the one member of the group I just can’t stand. Her social media only adds to be dislike.

I know that Jesy is generally cancelled by the internet for no apparent reason but I'm really surprised that not one person has bothered to mention that she's been commissioned to front a new BBC Three documentary about mental health and body image. Really pleased for her, especially as she wasn't given the easiest ride when Little Mix first started out. I'm looking forward to seeing what she has to say

6 months ago this girl was someone I just wanted to forget. I wanted to erase her from my mind and everyone else’s memory. I didn’t see her as Jesy I saw her as “the fat one from Little Mix”. Up until now I hated her not because she’d ever done anything bad but because I was made to hate her by endless amounts of trolling. Since filming my documentary for @bbcone and @bbcthree I’ve learned so much more than I ever expected to. Thanks to all the inspirational people I’ve met on this emotional journey, I now love the girl in this photo. I’ve made this documentary for 2011 Jesy and for anyone who might be feeling like she did. I refused to speak about how I was feeling for so long. I was embarrassed and scared to. But I was so wrong to feel that way. Please if you are feeling how I did, SPEAK ABOUT IT. Talk to your family, speak to your friends, there’s always help out there.

If you’d have told that girl one day you won’t feel sad anymore, I’d never have believed you....and here I am. Now when I look in the mirror, I don’t see Jesy the fat one, I see Jesy the happy one!

Love the caption! I vividly remember watching Jesy on X Factor and seeing her struggling with the negative comments... she's come so far. But even moreso in recent times with that more healthy outlook. Excited to see the documentary!

Yeah definitely. They have this year planned out already and probably next year if they tour the new album.

I can't believe it's going to be their 10 year anniversary next year already :o

VOCALS. Her voice is so unique yet so beautiful :wub: Ballads suit her voice so well.

I genuinely think a Jesy solo album would grate on me, ngl. Her voice is a bit much for me (although perfect for Little Mix - she her voice holds the harmonies really well). However, I honestly think she'd do the best as a solo artist (although Perrie has a huge fanbase). People can identify her voice right off the bat and they seem to love it so much, due to how different it is. Which is fair enough, just that for me, I don't think I'd take to it too much, personally.

Fully agree, it grates on me. The over use of vibrato in particular. It’s such a shame coz when she sings well she’s brilliant but this seems to be few and far between. I wish she’d sing like she does on songs like secret love song because she’s outstanding on that. The breathy, whispery vibrato vocals does nothing for me. But I agree she holds the harmonies well. A bit like Leigh-Ann she can either sing very well or sound very flat and thin. Jade and Perrie are the consistent ones who hold it all together imo.

2020 has been shit to her. She's taken it all so hard :( Something's not been right with her for a while. Between that clip that's going around, breaking down at Live Lounge and the reviews and comments from the album focussing on everything BUT the music..

I think she’s just ill and needs a rest, although it appears that she been ill since last week as apparently the EMAs were filmed last Sunday?

 

Either way, I hope she gets well soon. It’s nothing new that a member is ill and can’t attend an event though..

I’m absolutely devastated for her and the girls. Really hope she’s ok and gets well soon.

 

So their EMAs performance isn’t prerecorded? We’re not lucky at all - won’t be the same without her :(

 

I hope we can get her that #1 album and some EMAs while we’re at it!
