Over 30,000 people with amazing taste, I still adore 'We R One' and 'All the Roads Lead to Heaven' off that album! The 2nd album (that completely missed the Top 200 iirc) was even better!

I know I saw this thread and instantly had to go find We R One again played it 5 times in a row :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Speaking of which it's missed from the first post of 3rd place singles

Was also a shame the the lead single only, shine on forever, from the second album only hit 100 it should have gone higher I think a problem with the pre orders lost it some sales at the time

Any chance you could update Black Magic to it's sales of 830,192 (as of April 2016) because it's their highest selling single? :)

Done. I couldn't find any recent sales for it. :)

Giving this a little bump... Do we think threads like this (in addition to other threads which list sales for a certain group of artists) should be stickied in this forum?
No, we already have enough pinned topics and there are quite a lot of these sorts of threads at the moment.

Calum Scott is the newest success from the talent show vault. Really impressive to see how he's crept up the charts over the past few months.

The opening post has now been updated with a (hopefully) neater formatting.

There's a couple of BGT hits missing: Susan Boyle - Wild Horses and Gabz - Lighters.
Neither of those have a certification on the BPI website, so we don't know how they've done in total (roughly anyway).

They've definitely done less than 200,000 though.

Interesting. I'm surprised Bars & Melody made it then given their track lasted even fewer weeks on the chart!

If we look at them:

44,491 - Gabz (#6, 2013) - 6-19-36-37-51-65-90-out (7 weeks)

40,191 - Bars & Melody (#5, 2014) - 5-31-54-out (3 weeks)

29,571 - Susan Boyle (#9, 2009) - 9-13-30-34-57-77-out (6 weeks)

A total of 104,500 for Gabz (by the end of 2013) is quoted here.

Bars & Melody's single was released in the streaming era, which might have helped their total.

Added some stats for Voice UK. Not much there though.

Interesting thread. I'm also surprised that Bars & Melody song has built up over 200k sales.

Just one small thing I noticed in the OP, Clean Bandit ft Louisa Johnson was Tears not Forever Young. I assume it's Tears that has 880k sales and not her flop winners single.

Correct - well spotted.
Had no idea Cian Ducrot was on The Voice!

There's nothing about it on his Wikipedia page, so I'm guessing he doesn't like to shout about it! Having done some research, no-one turned during his audition...but he's gone on to almost certainly be the 2nd best-selling artist from the show!

I know it would just be a lot more work, but it would be interesting to see how these compare with Pop Idol, Popstars and Fame Academy artists!

The video of his audition was on the BBC Voice UK page but it has since been taken down.

It might have something to do with a video he did on his channel a year or two afterwards where he "exposed" the show. That video doesn't exist anymore either; he spoke about the behind the scenes stuff but all of it was only a revelation to those who somehow don't realise The Voice is a television show.

I have updated the original post with what I could find for those additional shows.
