April 8, 20169 yr Anyone see Marcelos antics? Yeah I did, it was pathetic to say the least but also quite funny at the same time.
April 8, 20169 yr You've just gotta laugh sometimes when a player does that! Anybody else getting 'Chelsea 2012' vibes from Man City?
April 8, 20169 yr Yeh wouldn't surprise me often happens when a manager has nothing to lose - but like Di Matteo in 2012 too!
April 9, 20169 yr You've just gotta laugh sometimes when a player does that! Anybody else getting 'Chelsea 2012' vibes from Man City? No I'm not. Manchester City will definitely not win the Champions League this season, I think Barcelona will retain the trophy.
April 9, 20169 yr At this point you'd have been very brave to predict that Chelsea would win it. I can't see City going all the way but they've given themselves a great chance of getting to the semis.
April 12, 20169 yr According to this article on MSN Sport coverage of the Champions League could return to terrestrial TV, I really hope it does as I've missed watching live matches on ITV and the commentary is so much better than BT Sport's commentary. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/ch...amp;ocid=TSHDHP
April 12, 20169 yr I don't understand how UEFA are surprised by this. Anybody with a brain could have told them that a channel only available in a minority of homes will get a lower audience than a free-to-air channel available to everyone. No broadcaster that employs Peter Drury and Clive Tyldesley (that means ITV) can claim to have better commentary than any other broadcaster. The lack of their hysterical shrieks has been the best part of BT's coverage.
April 13, 20169 yr Author And the Champions League still hasn't been retained as Atletico Madrid beat Barcelona 3-2 on aggregate.
April 13, 20169 yr Real the favourites now? Barca falling apart - struggling in the league too! They look a little jaded recently. Athletico are like the only team who can properly wind Barcelona up and play against them. They're the favourites for me now.
April 14, 20169 yr Barcelona out of the Champions League :o, the competition has gotten more interesting now! The curse of Champions League remains intact and it will be intact next season as well because whoever wins it this season wont win it next season. And on that subject anyone but Manchester City please!
April 14, 20169 yr Wouldnt surprise me if City won it now due to Pellegrini leaving in May, always seems to happen like that!
April 14, 20169 yr If you were Man City who would you want to play in the semis? I'd want to avoid Atletico and the circus around a meet with Pep... leaving Real Madrid. Some ideal draw.
April 14, 20169 yr Had a feeling Atleti may have pulled off a shock as per 2 seasons ago, tactics were spot in that 2nd leg although got a bit lucky at the end! (Similarly Iniesta who took the shot shouldn't have been on the pitch so swings & roundabouts) Man City would want Atleti too I think but I have a feeling it'll be a Real Vs Bayern final.
April 14, 20169 yr If you were Man City who would you want to play in the semis? the circus around a meet with Pep... This NEEDS to happen. The heat that Pep Guardiola would get on arrival from City fans next season after putting them out of the Champions League at almost the final hurdle would be hilarious to see  Bayern would be the team best equipped to knock them out as well which is another reason why it should happen. I don't really mind who wins it but it would be nice if Atletico Madrid win it because it would be their first ever and they were seconds away from winning it in 2014.
April 14, 20169 yr A City v Atletico final, mirrored by Liverpool v Sevilla in the Europa League, would be brilliant. Particularly for Pelligrini.
April 14, 20169 yr City have the best chance of going through against Real and the least chance of being humiliated against Atlético. Fascinating final four, Bayern look wobbly as well.
