Joedonia: Låpsley - "Hurt Me"

 

 

Despite poor odds from PersepBet and general Yehesi racism as there always is, Sweet Suspense have found this no obstacle with their MAX COVER (you see, we know who MAX is) and are sailing through to get Yehesi another month in the final. Meanwhile, as one of the favourites up to now, Joedonia have had no problems in gaining themselves their first qualification. Well done!

I must not have looked at the Semi 1 list, didn't realize 'Dangerous' was in BJSC this month :o As much as I like the song I wouldn't have been sure about its chances in the contest. Well done so far, Taahino!

I didn't even give Yehesi particularly bad odds though?

DNQ: 32nd - 15.41 points (23 before deduction)

 

Botanikka: Gülsen - "Bangir Bangir"

 

 

This was pretty obvious. Very few predicted Bangir Bangir to make an impact, it didn't seem to leave its mark on anyone, and Addy didn't even vote. So it comes 2nd last, it would have come a couple of places higher HAD he voted, but it didn't make that much difference in the end.

Quintessa: Noonie Bao - "I'm In Love"

 

 

Leading the charge for entry variety, and further disproving any attempt at an Agenda, Trifoski gets through, for the second time, with the adorable Kero Kero Bonito and their song 'Picture This'. Quintessa seem to be doing okay as well as with Noonie Bao they have a second qualifier in a row. Long may the underdogs reign!

Great to see Taahino and Yehesi through but a huge sigh at Jukianië being last. Didn't particularly expect it to qualify but it's so much better than last. :(

It was pretty good actually. :( Greenfroze fail to make it off the bottom 3 of the semi for the second month in a row as Paul Rey doesn't collect very many points for them at all. Bit of a shame really, I did like it but couldn't quite fit it into my votes. Not that it would have made a difference.

It's old but it's fantastic, HandS, a fabled BJSC entry that never was from days gone by has finally, with Tirren's return to the fold, gotten its dues and is off to the final to win hearts and minds 4 years on from when it was first spawned in a moment of pop glory. Or something like that.

Meanwhile, after a one month blip, N-Lazone are back to getting the fluky qualifiers, hands up if you predicted this getting through. I certainly didn't.
