October 21, 201510 yr Hope Kygo & Ella can make a return to the top 40 They won't, not this week anyway.
October 21, 201510 yr encouraging kda is stretching his lead, albeit with missing streaming data, 'rumble' would be one of the best #1's of decade so far
October 21, 201510 yr :nocheer: bye :nocheer: #2 is really good though, no? :P Higher than both FOUR singles managed!
October 21, 201510 yr #2 is really good though, no? :P Higher than both FOUR singles managed! Yes, but they managed to have that #1 on hands... I'm sure that the gap will be really close bc streaming are missed ;)
October 21, 201510 yr Is the missing data likely to be recovered by Friday? Not all of it, but anything that is still missing they account for by up-weighting data received earlier in the week to work out (and include) what the data would have been on the days that are missing.
October 21, 201510 yr One Direction is releasing an EP at midnight with the acoustic version of Perfect, remix of Perfect, remix of Drag Me Down and a new song "Home". Will that count towards the single sales?

October 21, 201510 yr At least Matt managed top 10, and didn't even have an international superstar to sing on his single. :smoke: No XF performance for Ben yet though :P Sorry just seen Joseph already said this :) Edited October 21, 201510 yr by torresgirl
October 21, 201510 yr Yet Matt had a held-back release with an X Factor performance on release day :kink: Matt still slayed, Ben ha flop.
October 21, 201510 yr Can the missing data stay missing and finally give Wildest Dreams a week in the top 40 :P I think it could just make it this week even with full streaming given it's been Top 20 on iTunes all week so far. Still A-list by Radio 1 so could make it the week after if not. Hoping Demi can hang onto the top 5 of the albums chart... Hard to tell with missing streaming and such close sales. I think Jess and Ed will end up sneaking back in the Top 5 given a good chunk of their sales are streams, but Demi could stay Top 5, even if she is selling the least out of the Top 5.
October 22, 201510 yr Matt still slayed, Ben ha flop. As a fan of Matt Cardle and Ben Haenow, without wanting to make excuses, Matt didn't have an OA/OS release. The music video was available at least a month before the song was released. I think Syco will be looking at long-term sales for Ben, #12 at this point I don't think is bad at all, given that the last series of X Factor was far from its most popular. By the time Matt released his single, One Direction and Cher Lloyd had already had #1 singles. Obviously top 10 would be nice but we'll find out tomorrow afternoon. I'd like to let you down gently, but... This is as good as it gets for Ben. Its over already.
October 22, 201510 yr It will! What happened to that rule that you weren't allowed to include another song currently in the top 40 on your single? One of Boyzone's CD singles got disqualified because it had No Matter What whilst it was still in the top 40.

One of Boyzone's CD singles got disqualified because it had No Matter What whilst it was still in the top 40.The rule was changed a few years ago. It is now (from the latest Chart Rules, published in March 2015): 4.0 Combining of Transactions 4.1 Criteria for Combining Transactions c i) The featured song of a Top 40 single cannot be released as a B-side or extra track on a subsequent chart eligible single until the former has dropped out of the Top 40, subject to c ii) and c iii). ii) If a song that has fallen out of Top 40 is then used as a B-side or extra title on a new release and the original song re-enters the Top 40, the new release will remain chart eligible. iii) Labels may include previously unreleased remixes or alternative versions of a current Top 40 single on a new release providing the version used has not previously appeared on a chart eligible release. iii) above should allow the EP to be chart eligible Edited October 22, 201510 yr by Robbie
October 22, 201510 yr They really need to do something about this missing streaming data, how many weeks now have they been upweighting streams for to account for missing Thursday data? Essentially it's a fabricated figure making up part of the charts every week, whether it's determined on expected streams or not. As unlikely as it is, a song could get 300k streams all week and then 100k on Thursday but that extra 2k of chart sales could be the difference between a #1 and #2 single on a close week.
October 22, 201510 yr Author They really need to do something about this missing streaming data, how many weeks now have they been upweighting streams for to account for missing Thursday data? I should imagine its backdated to the switch over, when it all went tits up.
