"Just Like We Never Said Goodbye" is gorgeous. Definitely getting this when it's out.
Echoing the praise for 'Just Like We Never Said Goodbye'. The equivalent of SOPHIE's Winter/X Factor performance ballad

But SOPHIE is not, alas, an album-length proposition. Even at 26 minutes, the record drags, and the three song stretch of “MSMSMSM”, “VYZEE”, and “L.O.V.E.”—that’s 38 cents of your album dollar—is depressingly skippable. These tracks either recycle bits from the earlier singles (chirpy vocals, squeaky percussion) or fold in new elements that sound mundane (trap percussion, doomy synths), leading to tracks that sound like they could have come from anybody. That these are the newer songs doesn’t help matters or bode particularly well for what might come next. And then there’s the fact that music this compressed and this syrupy is best heard in small doses, before your ear gets tired listening to it.

Pitchfork appear to be off the funny sauce finally.

VYZEE really reminds me of basement jaxx for some reason. i'd say MSMSMSM is the only one that kinda lets it down as it is a bit remedial?

i stil luv MSMSMSM !

its not an album i can listen to in one sitting but its 2015 and who cares tbh

like still genuinely baffled at how people can find her voice enjoyable. i should be target audience but cantttt

Random Bipp remix out today, sounding good though

Vinyl release of the remix on the 28th Jan with a new B-side which was created during the recording of this album.

Truly heartbroken this morning to learn that SOPHIE has passed away aged 34 :( Absolutely groundbreaking in what she did and shifted the world of dance and pop music.

UNISIL was released a couple of days ago, another track that was meant for this album but didn't make the cut. Going to spend some time this morning reliving some of her best tracks.

 :(

what a big loss for electronic music.

this remains my favourite song of hers, unfortunately still not on Spotify as it's technically a mashup of two songs

OMG no!!! I came in here excited that there could be new music and it's that news instead

This is such a devastating loss
