Sure fire #1, clear of 100k but not massively and 3-4 weeks, that depends on the song thought, it could well hold on until the XF winner?!

I would usually agree with this, but for an artist as big as Adele and given it has a full week of sales and the dire sales climate atm, I think you'd be brave not to predict this for number 1 :P

 

Not sure about the sales/weeks at number 1 though, it depends how frontloaded it is and if it sticks around, hopefully 120-150k first week but that might be too optimistic, should be three figures anyway, and it's seemed like AGES since we last had that.

I'll stick to my earlier prediction of 120k for now but having heard some snippets, it sounds so big that it really could click in an insanely massive way and sell something crazy like 250k. So I'm hedging my bets!

OK now that I've heard it... it's going to be HUGE!!!! Could quite easily become the biggest selling single of the year.

I'm disappointed, it's no Someone Like You for me. Maybe it's a grower, but too much repetition and shouty singing, and too much trying to be a new Someone like you. It will of course, still be a smash hit.

Having heard it this morning, I'm expecting it to debut at #1 with around 140k first week sales, and to spend 3 weeks at the summit!

I'll go for #1, with sales of 120k, but number 1 for more than 5 weeks as I'm not sure what's going to stop it getting many weeks at the top - especially as hype re-increases when the album is released.

 

I wonder how many of her album tracks are going to go T40 first week on streams/cherry-picks?

 

Ed had 7 songs from his album in the T75, plus 8 more outside. I doubt there'll be that many tracks on Adele's album, but I bet they'll chart higher!

Unless she holds it back from streaming sites for the first few weeks, which she may do to maximise album sales.

It's on Apple Music already, I assume if it isn't already on Spotify, it will be shortly!

How much more maximising does she need - she'll probably outsell the #2 album by at least 5-1! :lol:

Definite number one with 120k sales first week (can see it breaching 100k the following week as AirPlay picks up and the casual fans start hearing it.

I expect 4 weeks at the top but hard to call.

Close to 200k. Number 1 for 5 weeks.

Having heard it now - I would not be surprised if it hits 150,000 in week 1.

After hearing it a few times I think this will be above 185k in the first week. It's a huge song and is a sure million seller.

The album first week sales will be like nothing we have ever seen before.

Ok I'm going to say it... 210k.

Sit back and watch a few records tumble this coming week!

I went for opening sales between 150k and 200k and 2-3 weeks at number 1. More specifically around 185k sales and 3 weeks at number 1.
