Regarding The Spice Girls - I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the sublime 'Goodbye'. I remember being in year 7 many, many years ago and I think it was the last day before we all broke up - anyway, we had a school assembly - 'Goodbye' was played because quite a few students were leaving for good, including my best friend who f***ed off to America. I can never listen to it without thinking of him :cry:

Let's be honest all the Spice Girls singles were well crafted pop songs and for a girl group they could actually put out a great ballad. Some of the songs sound dated now, but well they are all over 15 years old so you'd expect that.

 

When most artists have a discography these days where it is all so hit and miss the Spice girls managed a truly remarkable run of singles.
