Posted November 18, 20159 yr White Diamond leaves finally. Why she didn't give us the uptempo version I'll never know. 16th: Cosmic 15th: Heart Beat Rock 14th: Nu-di-ty 13th: All I See 12th: Rippin' Up The Disco 11th: Sensitized 10th: Magnetic Electric 09th: No More Rain 08th: 2 Hearts 07th: White Diamond (Ballad Version)
November 18, 20159 yr Going for 'Speakerphone'. Was quite torn between that and 'Stars', but the latter has always been a favourite whereas 'Speakerphone' has only recently hit me. Surprised how long 'Stars' has held on for tbh!
November 18, 20159 yr In My Arms for me, a solid track that I've never got the fuss over. It's always felt quite forced to me and the chorus just isn't as joyous as it should be.
November 18, 20159 yr From the remaining songs it is going to be very hard, especially if Speakerphone departs in this round.
November 18, 20159 yr Going for "Stars" again, even though I do love it, just not as much as the remaining tracks. Also I do agree about the uptempo version of "White Diamond", was there even a studio version of that floating about anywhere. Only heard the live version and thought it was amazing. I reckon both versions should have been sent to radio formats and digital downloads as an early pre release/buzz single and let fans and the public decide which one is best. This is how I would have handled the X era = Aug/Sept ’07 (Buzz Single) = “White Diamond” (uptempo/ballad) Nov ’07 = (Lead Single) = “The One” Nov ’07 = (Album) = “X” Jan/Feb ’08 = (2nd Single) = “Like A Drug” March ’08 = (Lead USA Single) = “Speakerphone” May ’08 = (3rd Single) = “Wow” July ’08 = (4th Single) = “In My Arms” (2nd USA single) Oct ’08 = (Promo Release) = “2 Hearts” (maybe 3rd possible USA single) For me personally I still would have had a video shot for "2 Hearts" and had it service for promo only, just to keep the album floating around a bit longer, and as for a USA release then that would only be if "Speakerphone" and "In My Arms" did well or just have it for the digital download format. November 19, 20159 yr Speakerphone FTW (I know this is super wishful thinking though), it really is incredible and such an amazing moment which at once is both 100% Kylie and also totally out of left field. Her most interesting track outside the DeCon era for sure.
