I don't get the people who post on here who get excited about the old xmas songs rising up the itunes chart. I mean this forum complains when a song has a stupidly long chart run, having it broken up but still stupidly long doesn't change that for me. Those old xmas songs can do one if I had my way.

I don't understand the Christmas market on iTunes lol.

Everyone who wants said christmas song should have it had it by now. So how do they go so high every year?

As you can't buy a song more than once on it so how does it work?!

They obviously delete the songs and then download them again each year.

Maybe, just maybe, people with large iTunes libraries and the like actually DO delete seasonal songs to make room for more songs (but really who could afford to do this every year )

Considering these songs reach such a HUGE audience for a good month of the year, I'm sure they reach new people who decide to download them for whatever reason. I'm pretty sure it's not mostly the same people.
Love Yourself up to 97% - probably thanks to X Factor.
Also, why has Olly Murs suddenly climbed back to #7?
Hello up to #3 and #6. On over 120% overall.

Gosh, how awful for her. It's such a shame the UK love to bring down their own artists and not celebrate them by rewarding them with success.

But you can't re-buy a song that you have already bought on iTunes. You can re-download it, but it doesn't count as another sale.

he was on Alan Carr last night I think?

Expected the big boost for 'Love Yourself' from XF (looks like it'll easily be #1 this week) but actually pretty surprised at how much 'Hello' has been boosted, especially as I've heard it was a pretty crap performance. 'Hello' coming for a 6th week at #1 on sales. Maybe at this rate it could actually hang onto the sales #1 until the XF winner's single comes out, so the early predictions weren't entirely off, just not accounting for Bieber's superior streams :P

I really wish iTunes would delete the single version of 'Hello' already :drama:

I'm expecting a big boost for Grace's You Don't Own Me. Lauren Murray sung it brilliantly.
SO pleased for Grace. Such a brilliant song and it was Lauren's best performance to date!

No need to be a c**t about it.

(that's the sound of the joke going over your head :P)

No, it's because I previously had said that the UK like to bring down their artists whilst the US likes to reward success with more success. It was a sarcastic snide comment directed at me, and I will not stand for it.

Well it was pretty much the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard (read) so don't expect an apology. -_-
