November 30, 201510 yr JB really needs to pick "Love Yourself" as the third official single from "Purpose" Why? The song already looks like it's heading to No 1 so what benefit would be gained? :D
November 30, 201510 yr Good to see Kylie Christmas still top 40 at 29. Fingers crossed it stays top 40 for 3rd week in a row. Kylie promo starts next Friday with TFI Friday, then Royal Variety on Tuesday 8th then her Concert on 11th with maybe strictly that week? G Norton confirmed for 18th too..... Fingers crossed she can have a 6 week run in the top 40 and sell near to 50k
November 30, 201510 yr I'm drying at Bieber having a third #1 single in less than what? 4 months? Insane.
November 30, 201510 yr Oh my god! The Take That album dropped like a stone: from #6 to #62  Also shame to see Enya already exiting the top 10 (#12) :( But yay for Kylie, climbing a little bit (from #31 to #29) :D The Vamps' sales mustn't be very good... even Litte Mix are higher. They might end up outside the top 10 by Friday.

Fingers crossed she can have a 6 week run in the top 40 and sell near to 50k I think Kylie will do really well over Christmas, actually. The fact she has some good promo slots gives me confidence that she'll at least match Leona Lewis' festive album and go gold. Great to see Little Mix back up to the top 5. It really goes to show how important it is to choose the right song as an album lead-in. Also, I feel smug as I'm the only person who had Little Mix in the top 5 albums in the chart Preddix game :P

November 30, 201510 yr 25's record-breaking rise to 1 million UK album sales by Alan Jones Six weeks ago, only a select few knew that Adele had completed her third album 25, but after a 20 second 'teaser' - featuring introductory single Hello, without mentioning the artist's identity - was screened during an ad break on The X Factor on 18 October, speculation eventually gave way to confirmation that the album would be released on 20 November. 10 days on from its release, 25 shattered the record for the fastest million-seller in UK history, scorching to a seven figure sale some time on Sunday (29 November) to beat the previous record set by Oasis' album, Be Here Now, which took 17 days (not 11, as previously reported) to pass the milestone in 1997. 25's provisional sales of 225,182 copies in the current week - from midnight on Thursday to midnight on Sunday - raised estimates of its to-date sales to 1,025,489. The only other albums to pass a million sales within a month of release are The Circus by Take That (19 days, 2008), Beautiful World also by Take That (27 days, 2006), Robson & Jerome’s self-titled debut (28 days, 1995), The Beatles’ 1 (also 28 days, 2000), and Leona Lewis’ Spirit (29 days, 2007). 25 is the 223rd album to sell a million copies in the 21st century, and the 35th to sell a million copies in the 2010s. Introductory single, Hello, is also on the fast track to becoming Adele's fourth million selling single, with sales to close of midnight on Friday at 813,711, with provisional sales in the three days since estimated at 36,483. With Christmas approaching and weekly sales increasing exponentially, Adele is the record industry's Secret Santa delivering sales relief in a tough trading year in which paid-for sales will decline for the 11th time in a row. Despite this, 25 stands a better than even chance of reaching the 2m. sales plateau faster than any previous album - current record holders, Robson & Jerome's eponymous debut topped the 2m sales mark on its 48th day on release, early in 1996. 25 has today (30 November), the whole of December and a little of January to reach the mark. 25's daily sales thus far: 20 November (including pre-release purchases): 315,795 21 November: 145,571 22 November: 82,127 23 November: 71,815 24 November: 66,939 25 November: 56,747 26 November: 61,313 27 November: 62,814 28 November: 103,997 29 November: 58,371 Please note: previously released provisional data for 20-26 November was revised by OCC as shown above, while data for 27-29 November still has provisional data, and may be revised in the final chart on Friday (4 December). © musicweek.com Edited November 30, 201510 yr by Robbie
November 30, 201510 yr Jeff Lynne must be very happy with the success of Alone In The Universe, likely to get a 3rd week in the album top ten
