Transcode so no thank you I will wait a few more hours for a good rip.
Nearly finished watching her interview with Zane Lowe. Absolutely incredible, I literally couldn't be anymore of a stan for this woman if I tried to! Some of the things she says are so wise and her appreciation for some of the new producers shes worked with such as Tobias and Greg Kurstin is so professional yet so fangirling at the sametime, love it!
"Sweetest Devotion" is more than I ever imagined an Adele song could be. It's hit me so hard I think it'll go down as one of my favourites of this year. Sounds ridiculous but it's almost giving me "Yoü and I" teas (I bloody love "Yoü and I").

I f***ing love this album already, and it only took me 2 or 3 listens to remember what every single song sounds like, they're all very distinctive and the quality is strong.

"All I ask" made me cry all night, though.

I don't get the "make up album" description though, it's as depressive/emotionnal as "21" was. Which is fine for me because that's what she's best at.

By the way, she payed a vibrant hommage to Paris during her Radio City concert two days ago.

I can't wait for it to be shown on TV cause the visuals look so beautiful and the song resonates so much with what happened.

Okay, I caved in.

Send My Love is ridiculously catchy <3 Nothing else really stood out from first listen. We'll see.

Is someone sneaking Gaga, Perry and Riri cds into all the Adele cases?

My research regarding this is as follows.

Young people don't listen to song lyrics. I think mishab is way too old to remember that for herself or something. They like what is in at the moment. Adele is huge and therefore is IN. Young people like Adele. Young people buy Adele. The end.

Also middle-aged people and elderly people of both sexes like Adele. I know of 3 people who will buy 25 this weekend. One's 10, one's 22 and one's 73. Then there's me at 55! She has wide appeal.

At the halfway mark of my first listen so I'll post my initial thoughts. My dedication to stay up for this given I have work at 6am meaning I have to be up at 4am says a lot

1. Hello

Still loving this nearly a month after it was released. Perfect album opener!

2. Send My Love To Your New Lover

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I really can see this being the girl empowerment track that Ryan Tedder mentioned in an interview (last year?), so catchy and loving the guitar thing shes got going on.

3. I Miss You

Definitely took me a bit longer to get into this and wasn't as instant as the first two tracks. The chorus is definitely where the main hook is for me.

4. When We Were Young

Me and a friend were getting nostalgic about this yesterday when discussing how and the album while absolutely loving the sentinment. Given this song is a main song in the theme I'd have put it after Hello or even as track three, but who am I to question Godele Adkins? First point of crying too in the whole listening so far

5. Remedy

As far as opening lines go, definitely one of my favourite Adele lyrics. However overall this is probably my least favourite so far as I think the chorus is a bit underwhelming.

6. Water Under The Bridge

The beat and rhythem to this made me sit up a little bit. Once that chorus hits it's definitely a step back in the right direction after Remedy. I'd love a backing choir for this song if performed live.

"Million Years Ago" really reminds me of Mariah's "My All". Love it!

Currently playing through the album in full and "Water Under The Bridge"/"When We Were Young"/"Million Years Ago" are my favourites at the moment.

7. River Lea

GROOVY. Such a sweet little bop. Maybe a bit repetitive but then again so was Rumour Has It which was just as much of an album moment on 21!

8. Love In The Dark

I can see this going so far in my Adele favourite tracks in no time whatsoever. The lyrics about being oceans apart and space are just beautiful, especially the "everything changed me" part, so stunning. This sounds like it could be on 21 somewhere between Turning Tables and Set Fire To The Rain and the instrument breakdown later on in the track is PERFECT.

9. Million Years Ago

Not overly moved or excited by this song. I really hope this doesn't turn into a Don't You Remember for me and take years for me to appreciate it as it isn't exactly a bad vocal or anything, just wish it was something more exciting than first listened. Lovesong teas from this as well but this is the first song since track four where I can see the theme of the album coming through.

10. All I Ask

Was very surprised when I saw Bruno Mars' name crop out has I don't think I'd ever put him and Adele in the same sentence! The delivery and lyrics on this one are spot on as well! THE ENDING OF THE SONG IS BEAUTIFUL TOO.

11. Sweetest Devotion

Can we hear Angelo on this track!? Loving the country vibe to this but this is very middle of the table for me in terms of album favourites on first listen.

Great album but I won't lie I am a little bit annoyed she didn't attempt a cover for this album! The standout moments for me are Hello, Send My Love (To Your New Lover), When We Were Young, River Lea and Love In The Dark. Love in The Dark, Send My Love or When We Were Young possible contenders for my favourite track though.
